For the cone code of 280844CH (date=28 Aug 2004), the valid shaft serial should be around 5129680. For the shaft serial of 3976044, the valid cone code should be xx0825CC (date=xx Aug 2002). IMHO the Yonex Muscle Power 100 shaft serial: 3976044 cone code : 280844CH (date=28 Aug 2004) is a fake.
I have checked in the information of your Yonex Armortec 900 Power shaft Serial:6859143; Cone Date Code:270472SP (date=27 Apr 2007) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its serial no. and date code are legitimate. Thanks for this.. I suspected as much after reviewing a few different threads on this site. It bothered me enought that I went to a reputable badminton shop here in Vancouver today and the staff there also came to the same conclusion. As such - I am completely soured on playing with it (it felt OK - but I am not the type of player that a real MP100 would be approriate for anyway!) - so I ended up purchasing a new Armortec 500 that they had in stock. If you don't mind - I should run those numbers through you as well.... ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- racket model: Yonex Armortec 500 shaft serial: 7055592 cone code : 010879CD source : Abbie’s Sports, Vancouver, BC, Canada price : CDN$159 ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8----
