There are other problems with that approach too:

    1) You end up with many posts delted, or a thread of rubbish if you take the interesting parts of one discussion & condense it into a new thread

    2) New people may join in the thread 6 months down the line, not knowing we have removed other points may kick start it all over again

    3) As you also note some other members may not like the heavy moderation/deltion of posts

The best way for the forum to succeed is for member to observe the rules and try to contribute with their posts rather than posting one liners, abuse or sarcasm. People should respect each others opinion & post their own instead.

    Posting in one liner

    .
I actually find it strange when I see some BCers posting one liners. :):):)

These BCers look like they wish to communicate, but wish not in full.

Are they keeping us guessing what they are trying to tell us? I say this because their one liners do not mean much, or contribute much in the discussions/threads.

Yes, many a times, I am confused by their 'one liner' posts.:confused::confused:

i am more confuse when they create new thread with 1 post and 1 line. then, no more feedback as other members gave their opinions.

Perhaps it is to stir up our family of BCers

    .
:D:D:D Perhaps it is to stir up our family of BCers (into arguments).

Next time we should ask the thread starter(s) why he/she created such threads (when he/she won't comment anymore).
    :p:p:p

    Juvenile behaviour!

    .
Talking about juvenile behaviour, many times there are very young BCers posting in our Forums. It takes a long time to know that they are that young (say, under 15).

There was once, one of our players (less than 12 years of age) wishing to register, but he was refused because he was considered too young.

BC can have a juvenile section

    .
There was one before (years ago), but it was not used.

Now, trying to search for it, I just couldn't find it anymore.:eek::eek:

Yes it should not be just a spontaneous thought to create a new thread ....

unless of course there isn't any response from bc members ;)

Sometime just by reading the title we know where it's heading .... :D

Several of the closed threads has 'funny' or 'specific purpose' title ;) :D

The title itself should be simple and not one sided :)

Good point Chris! May be I should have said insensible behaviour instead.

Not sure if anyone notice, an open-ended threads often leading to arguments and fights and bloody endings are those "Judgment" or "Comparison" ones... For example, LD vs LCW, who is better? Or China Team vs Malaysia Team, which is better? Or What is the Best String and Best Tension?

On my lucky day best string is any string any tension but on a bad day best string is a rope and best tension is tight enough to hang myself...

    Talking about strings and rackets......

    .
Threads that often lead to arguments and fights and bloody endings are because some BCers insist that their opinions are right and opposing opinions/arguments are wrong. :D:D:D

Talking about strings and rackets, I have always said; They are just like other things, like food, drinks, clothes, etc, ......

Don't tell me what top players like to eat, drink, wear, etc, ......, are the best for us.
