Datuklee chong wei to run for public office ?

KUALA LUMPUR : Padang Besar Umno division chief Datuk Zahidi Zainul Abidin think the party must put a popular candidate to overcome the PKR candidate Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim .


He said if the party fielded locally known but it can not overcome the popularity of Anwar Ibrahim, who is famous all over the world.


" Thus I propose that the MCA put badminton player Datuk Lee Chong Wei as the BN candidate in Kajang, " he told FMT yesterday.


He is also a member of parliament Padang Besar said if Lee Chong Wei to be the BN candidate , it could " divert " the various issues plaguing the country right now.


He said if the party ever put football players, Soh Chin Aun Kota Melaka parliamentary contest in 1986 , why MCA put Lee Chong Wei is known around the world as well.


Zahidi added that if the party put a new candidate , the coalition would lose badly because the voters were not familiar with the candidate.


"However, if Lim Chong Wei contest , voters already know him and it is possible that he could make a surprise defeat Anwar Ibrahim .


Three days ago , Lee Chin Cheh landslide resign as Kajang assemblyman . The next day even though the EC has not set a date to meet nomination day, PKR has announced the Permatang Pauh MP Anwar Ibrahim as a candidate in the RK .


The EC will meet on February 5 to determine the nomination and polling day .

That's a big HUH???? They are looking for Malaysia's personality to take part in politics or idol contest?

 

roads are no longer narrow, surely wider than those in european cities. bends here and there are what sportscar owners like. long stretches of road are everywhere in the city nowadays. been away for far too long mr.

 

i do hope lee chong wei to contest under mca-bn flag.
this will damage his already dropping popularity

 

i think datuklee will win in kajang bcoz

- most people aare tired of unnessary RE-election, espcially to accomdated pkr
- kajang is majority chinese, so if Vs Anwar, datuklee good chance
- kajang is where datin wong mew choo grow up

if he contest in kajang,he will never make to final of any major this year.

his slogan: i will make sure all the badminton court in kajang is free for every kajang voters to play for coming 4 years

The titles are conferred by: a) King(Yang DIpertuan Agung) b) Sultan of a state c) Chief Minister of non Sultan state

Datuk, Dato are same level, just they differentiate between the one conferred by Sultan, CM, King. Datuk Seri is half step higher than Datuk/Dato
Tan Sri is higher than Datuk
