Yeah, Maria was leading in the 1st set. I thought she would have no problems to wrap it up in straight sets.

the match between mas and china should be finish in 3-1
and i hope mas will be the winner:p

    fairuz,hope u 100%awake and dont made silly mistake,if not i will make sure i shoot u here:p,so as wpt:D(relax:))

    fairuz/wpt will have a 45-55 chance against he/yu
if they play like when they vs lee/lee and with less mistake, they will be able to take this one, hope that they wont kill themself with error:cool:

    lcw vs lindan 45-55
lindan have a bad record against lcw in team competition, but now he is on homegroud, lcw need to use his best shot and ability+stratergy against lindan.
i am sure this lindan is not the swiss open lindan anymore,so,lcw cant afford to apply same(like in swiss open) mindset/stratergy here

    koo/tan vs cai/fu 50-50
provided koo/tan perform like when they face danes, then the chance is 60-40,but if they keep defending and keep let opponent to attack them, the chance will be 40-60.koo need to play brilliant badminton(with no mistake) and tan need to give his 100% if they want to win this. and PLEASE,dont kill urself with MISTAKE

    wmc vs wyh 45-55
provided wmc is injury free and perform like when she face hhy, then she will have a 45-55 chance. if compare by style, wmc will have advantage if her footwork and defence is on form, anyway, please dont kill urself with mistake

    wd?
i dont think the tie will down to 2-2,if yes, china will win

Hmm, Park Joo Bong is still here although his charges have gone home. Maybe to support Korean contingent.

Now, the long walk from one end of the GBICC to the other, in search of dinner.

With Chin partnering Ng Hui Lin in WD, I wonder if Chin will hold her temper against Ng. She was upset the last time they played together against Korea in the Uber Cup Finals.

I bet it won't get that far anyway.

Okay, I only watched the first and last match (XD and MD), skipping the 2 most closely-contested match to attend a friend's church wedding. Thanks to the updates by Krisna and Hau-Ge.

Overall, KOR deserves the 3-1 victory over INA and as I said earlier, if INA lost the XD match, it's as good as all over.

For the mixed doubles, I think Nova should retire and Butet should find a new partner. No question abt that.

For the men's doubles scratch pairing, it's Hendra Setiawan who was making more errors today. The first set was horrible to watch as the INA pair succumbed to the pace and power of the KOR pair. Hendra/Ahsan played well briefly, when they managed to take a 4 pts lead at 13-9. Since then, a combination of unforced errors and switch of tactics by KOR pair led to a turnaround and the INA pair lost narrowly 19-21.

I still think it's better for Kido/Hendra to split up, given the uncertainly lingering over Kido's knees (which is taking a long long time to heal) Hendra/Rendra (or if they want to stick to using Hendra/Ahsan) will be one option.

INA team once again failed to book final ticket, lost to KOR like last year Thomas Cup. Hmm, seems champion target is too heavy for INA squad...KOR team showed brilliant performance and high confidence to advance into finale, congratz!

Hendra/Ahsan played better than expected..Ahsan showed good temperament in big match pressure cooker environment.
At present, I doubt Malaysia can find a back up player like him

The Chinese squad is already here, practising their support routine with use of flags.

Gade was with us on the bus, says that his migraine is better but he will return home tonight. More training for next 2 super series.
