    Tournament Preparation .......

...... had been very thorough. As usual, wherever the place is, BC will always upstage the best efforts of BWF in terms of organization, sponsorship, food and transport, officiating, yup pretty much the whole event management works.

Even the lack of, err, sufficient tournament officials and high tech infrastructure were mitigated by certain, ahem, low tech solutions.

The tournament referee is equipped with these:
    1. BC World Champion Cap - to show authority and ensure players toe the line
    2. Russian spec binoculars - to make correct decisions on line calls from miles away ...... wakakakaka :D
    3. Official Tournament Scoresheet - whatever decisions written here is final
    4. The court mopper - forced into labour in a BC National Service Program
    5. Those not willing to be conscripted into labour can use this to mop the court by themselves ... :p

coming to a court near you...
It was wonderful to meet so many of the BC members at the Kwun-Drifit Cup. I enjoyed playing with those who were unfortunate enough to take the court with me. I Nearly got hit twice by limsy... and he was on MY side!!:D

Big thanks to my partner epaphroditus, who played at least 65% of our official match. He seemed to be a magnet for the shuttle! After the match the poor fella simply laid down on the mat and remained there motionless. Eventually we had to peel him off the mat, haha:p. Epa, you're a great guy and was a pleasure meeting you.

The organization of the event was amazing and and propose we replace BWF with this organizing committee effective immediately!

Oops got to run for now. More later

Although the public transportation system in the Klang Valley area is a continuing nightmare, practically all players arrived in time. Well, with the exception of oversleepers limsy and ctjcad, and a totally lost Kim, that is. As such, Kim got himself relegated from star player to umpire.

"Official Cars" were used to transport most of the BC World Team, on several designated pickup points.

    Pics here.

    1. The National Reflexworld Arena - battleground that decimated the World Team
    2 - 4. The World Team arrives - only to be slaughtered ...... :p:eek::p

Despite the contestants' apparent lack of physique and energy, the BC team of both sides were very focused and well prepared to lose all their energy before the match. Warm-up was done according to, err, international professional standards and far exceeded the general time limit of professional BWF players.

Some pics of the professional warm-up, and the after effects.

WARNING! Graphic Details, please get your parents' consent if under 18.

    1. The World Team's trump card, energy booster snacks imported from USA by ctjcad. It worked on Loh and Hagen, and they defeated a pair powered by the Chinese Uber Squad.
2-3. Stretching exercises - nicely modelled by Ants and Jimmy Goh
4-5. And the after effects of too much warmup

On second thoughts, scratch pic no 5, cannot pass the censorship board .... wakakaka :p. Too many exposed midriff body parts.

Hey partner, we did good and managed to push the youngters to the limit. If not for the heat, age & weight disadvantages, we could have won....hahaha! Told you the youngters now have no respects to their uncles :D:D:D

I was there....as a spectator, and I can see everyone had great fun. I had fun too.....great satay lunch! :D
Hehe, next time, we should have a " uncles" category, then I am sure then the odds for the World Team to win would be greatly increased!! :D
