Hey can't believe you have waited long enough just like I did. I wonder though if the Spira 22 would grab your attention by the time of its release?

Yeah, I thought so, the graphics are pretty lame.

In that case, will wait for that review of yours, thanks in advance:).

Yesterday my string gave way. NBG98 at 24lbs, had been playing with it for a month and half. I am kinda put off with the quality of the ink sprayed at the frame. Had 2 small chips on the 3/9 frame just outside the grommet circle ring.

I have now tested Spira 21 and new Bravesword 169. I'll post my review of Spira 21 on Friday on my blog.

No, Spira 21 is due for launch in Europe mid August when the racquets finally arrive.

I'm waiting for RRP from Victor UK in order to complete my review.

if it's not as powerful as the SW35, then I won't switch, I doubt they will replace the SW series yet.

Confusing review Paul. Obviously the BS10 suits your style of play, but the tone of the review is that you still prefer the BS10.

Can you perhaps contrast and compare the two for us?

Yippee, long live Victor SiW 35. Definitely, 35's graphics are better than the bland Spira 21:)! Based on the review, I figure it's about the in between a BS11 and BS10. If SP 21 can't top BS 10, then certainly I'd be inclined to stick with SiW35 and another backup perhaps;).

    What do you think LD-rules:D?

If you are getting a 3U, you will not regret it :)

I am going to stick with the SW35, until a more powerful racket comes onto the Market.

    Long live Victor !:):p

    Dear all,

Apologize for this very late review of the Spiral 21 racket :(

Anyway, on with the short review.

    Racket: Spiral 21 3uG2
    String: BG80 @ 28lbs
    Grip: Victor GR333

    Overall feel:
    Head heavy
Stiff shaft - The indicator on the cone indicate the shaft is extra stiff
Despite the heavy head, its still easy to maneuver due to the aerodynamic frame design, which I must say, its really effective!

I've put in a total of 10 hours in the racket, of which 2 hours include training.

    Netting:
The racket is able to produce a nice touch to netting, I'm quite terrible in netting, because I couldn't find "the spot" most of the time. So I can't comment too much on this area.
But is it me, or is the head a big bigger than other racket? Its string by the my usual stringer

    Drive:
The stiff shaft plus the aerodynamic head provide you excellent control and fast swing.

    Smash:
Excellent in power, but pale in comparison to my SW31 & SW35, however, it excel in placement.
If you wish to rate the power in smash below is my comparison with a few other victor racket:
    BS09 < BS11 < BS10 < Spiral 21 < SW31 < SW35

    Clear:
Clear is not a problem with this racket, easy and spot on. I would say effortlessly.

    Drop:
Excellent control in both cross-court and straight drop.

    Overall result:
When I play with this racket it feels like a mixed between my Arc 10 & TI-10 (first generation) just that its a more offensive version of both.

The aerodynamic design of the frame allow the racket to be swing faster it kind of compensate for the head-heaviness, but the stiff shaft is what demands the user to have more strength to use it properly.

If you are looking for a Victor racket that offers excellent control and good power, this is the racket to go to.

I would disagree. I would say the Spira21 is the heaviest hitting racket.

I currently have in my posession:

    AT900T
    SW35
    SP21
    BS10

By far the stiffest and head heaviest is the SP21. I won't say that I get the biggest smash with the SP21 but I would say it has the biggest potential to have the biggest smash.

    Rackets Stiffness:
    SP21>900T>sw35>BS10

    Head heaviness:
    SP21>sw35>bs10>900t

    easy of swing:
    900t>bs10>sw35>sp21

I find the SW35 and bs10 are very simliar rackets. Hard to tell between the two when you swing.

The SP21 is just a friggen hammer. I would describe it as a NS8000 with a heavy head. Or a AT700.

I've gone through quite a few rackets...

    Yonex:
    Cab21sp
    Cab30MS
    AT900T

    Victor:
    Nano3
    SW32
    SW31
    SW33C
    SW33P
    Artery Tec98
    BS09
    BS10
    SP21

    Apacs:
    AMP88
    Lethal70
    Tantrum 200

And a few more tester rackets I don't remember... mostly victor, apacs, rsl

Respectfully disagree, the SW35, is a lot more stiffer than a AT900t.

sometimes it's just hard to tell. i think i just say the sw35 has more flex than the at900t because there's more of a "whip action" with the sw35 than the at900t. probably since the sw35 is more head heavy. feels like the 900t is more solid and less torsional twisting than the sw35.

I agree. The SW35 and the BS10 are quite a bit stiffer than the AT900T!
