Actually php players are growing in numbers. In Sg, there are many php players here. Big groups. Some are my students. If the trend goes they will find some world beaters. Some of the guys are pretty good playing here. All can jump smash one. ;)

Let's erase the whole elite back-up idea and mix them with normal back-up.

    Elite back-up + normal back - up ( i assume you're talking about the junior back-up) = sooner or later become KBH:D

Otherwise call them elite 'break-ups'..i find using the 'elite' word is overrated for they don't deserve it either for the dismal performance..Liew Daren couldn't even get past 1st round of qualifying round ( not even the 1st round of the main draw) at HK SS...Boleh Boleh Boleh!!!

rebellion Mas supporters? naaah no rebellion, nothing special..... malaysians dissing malaysian players are a dime a dozen. The loyal malaysians are the rare breed here always jeered at as being 'bolehians' and by subtle 'put downs' by people who keep putting the word boleh in their posts..

Still got hope for the foursome.

Koo-Tan only have one title to show from their 2010 campaign

KUALA LUMPUR: National doubles shuttlers Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong wrapped up their campaign this year with only title to their name – the Malaysian Open in January.
In the ongoing Hong Kong Open, which is the last leg of the Super Series season, the duo went down to Mohd Ahsan-Bona Septano of Indonesia in the second round on Thursday.
Kien Keat-Boon Heong, who will not compete in any more international tournaments this year, will be taking part in the Perak Open in Ipoh next week, but with different partners.
Kien Keat will pair up with Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif and Boon Heong with Hoon Thien How.
National doubles coach Rexy Mainaky summed up the duo’s performances over the year as “quite satisfactory although the duo dropped to the world number two spot”.
“Yes, they have only been crowned as a Super Series champion once this year. But they showed good attitude and did well in major tournaments,” said Rexy.
Kien Keat-Boon Heong came very close to winning the World Championships in Paris and the Asian Games in Guangzhou but went down fighting to China’s Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng and Indonesians Markis Kido-Hendra Setiawan respectively in the finals.
“They showed that they were more focused in wanting to win the majors. To me, that is a positive sign.”
Rexy said that Kien Keat-Boon Heong were on the right track in their pursuit for Olympic glory at the 2012 London Games.
“Their major events before the Olympic Games will be the All-England and the World Championships next year. Koo and Tan are determined to win their second All-England title and, of course, they are determined to go one step better at the world meet,” he said.
“They were disappointed with only one thing this year – failure to nail the world title. They will get it right next time.
“We will continue to focus on improving their physical conditions. They are certainly in better physical shape now than they were last year.”
Rexy said he would also work closely with the two other elite pairs – Thien How-Zakry and Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Zakry-Ong Soon Hock – under his care.
Both pairs have failed to make an impact since forming new partnerships after the Thomas Cup Finals in May.

    Koo-Tan's 2010 report card
    January: Malaysian Open champions
    March: Swiss Open runners-up
    August: World Championships runners-up
    September: Japan Open runners-up

They can be as Mr. Runner-ups after BCL now.....LOL

They will be diasppointed again if they dont

    1. Improve vastly in their physical condition
    2. Improves their attacking abilities with more varieties of shots and strategies, too predictable at present.
    3. Reduces thier unforce errors and fancy shots
    4. Improve their mentality in crictical moments
    5. Grow the hungle for success and to win Major....they seems dont really care at present.
    6. Improve their status to be back to 1st tier from 2nd tier at present( have to work from now on)
    7. Avoid thingking of shopping, partying and clubing when playing in a tournament........LOL just kidding !

No. 7...don't go clubbing or to wild parties... must be disciplined like the China team... not only when playing at tournament...
I think they have done no.5 already. KKK/TBH got too many unforced errors, that's what makes them lose to the other top pairs...
