The swing wt data from at700.com is out. And it looks similarly slightly head heavy like 3U Arc 11. Hmm... maybe the one I dry swung was a heavier sample. Will have to try the other ones hanging at the store. And will need to measure head wt too. There's a demo I can try out, but it's strung with bg65ti 26lbs. Will see.
out of curiosity, what do the people that work at the store say when you walk in with a scale and start measuring things?
ARC10 you mean? The swingweight is perfectly in line of expectation given the bp's mentioned in roughly the 295-300mm range . ARC11 is more headlight than ARC10, which makes it a pretty likeable spec for me . The NR800 so far is the closest thing to NS9900 ... ¡NanoRay ... Decepticons!
Alright, just got some head wt measurements from 4 rackets. Dry, bare condition. Head wt: 39.4-40.1g Dry wt: 88.5-89.0g In comparison, 4U VZTF is 38.5g/82.3g. And 3U VZTF is 40.4g/86.5g. And my swinging them back to back reinforces my feeling of how massive the swing wt is. To me it feels in between the 3U and 4U VZTF and the measurements reflect that. If I were to place this racket on the Yonex matrix, it would be in the top right quadrant a tad lower than VZTF and a tad right of NR800.
Just saw your ARC11 measurement in the other thread. Pretty light specimen you had there (or an average). Any VT70's around ? Measure the shaft length of Z-Speed as well .
Aargh... forgot to measure shaft length, but the handle to cone length is unchanged, so shaft is probably longer by 4mm or so, since we know the frame is more compact. Arc11 that I measured was 38.1g/86.8g... not too far off mid range spec I'd think. Sorry VT70 wasn't on my radar, as I was also distracted by the new arrivals of Adidas rackets at the store. I gave them all a couple of swings of course and none of them were even close to how the Z Speed swings.
Ahhh. Kindly update the head weight thread with the adidas rackets, if you somehow find the time...getting a N50/N50II comparison would be a cherry on top Your store carry Li Ning? In that case you could get that comparison I'm waiting for in agony
http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...n-easier-simpler-appoximation-of-swing-weight I know it's a lot to read. Make sure to go to 2nd last page for updated table.
Can someone please give a comparison between 3u nrzspd and 4u zf? In terms of maneuverability , swing speed and which one require less strength to play with? From what I knew... nrzspd also has a high bp
I'm not so sure... On my dry swings, the ZSPD consistently was heavier to swing than the ZF 4U. It was even heavier than the Lining N90II. Will know for sure on court when I hope to test a demo on Tuesday evening.
I have just only used for about 10mins so it might not reflect the full potential of the racquet, but I would like to say that to me I think ZSPD is a good racquet but not as great as I thought. Doesnt have the "wow" or amazing feel that I have when I first tried Zforce for similar time length. Overall its good but not really anything special. But one thing obvious is that it is certain not light, but not too heavy either. So its more even balance but fast for doubles. This is just my personal opinion to this racquet
for one thing i'm absolutely sure! dryswings in a single direction i.e. forward/backward may not be clearcut.. i'm currently using a at700PR at 4U, headweight about 43 grams. the zspeed 3U when gripped and all is at headweight about 43.2 grams. and i'm absolutely sure the z-speed is so much more agile. its not only about the swing, but air resistance, etc, where the benefits of a smaller head and some more aerodynamic looking frame design appear to benefit..
