Hi, It is good to be back home in Singapore. It is also great to be able to play badminton again. I’ve joined a few of the various groups in the past. Some of them (organizers and regulars) are friendly, and some not so (1 or 2 quite snobbish/arrogant). I would recommend the moderators to include some form of ratings from players. I think badminton should be competitive but since we are all amateurs, it should be fun & friendly foremost. For people new to BadmintonCentral, these ratings will do them good to pick and choose groups according to their preference. The worst is having a player joining a new group and found out that group is not so “suitable” and left being “ostracized”. Unfortunately, there are some bad apples out there. Moderators – please consider. Members – if this gets posted and if you want to provide some feedback on the groups, please be encouraged to do so. Cheers. WC

There are many groups out there. U can state clearly your game level and where is your preferable place to play . Also which day u would like to play. It will help u to find a group easily . Hope u find a group soon. Good day

I stay in the Bukit Panjang and I consider my game level as intermediate. My preferred places of play are Woodlands and the western part of singapore. No preferred timing as long as got no appointments.

Dear all I will be moving to Singapore by next week. I will be staying at Whompoa Drive. What is the nearest badminton group that I can join? I've been playing actively for 3 years plus, would humbly rank myself as intermediate/average.
Good suggestion. New members should clearly describe what's your level. Better to add on if you were school player before, how many years have you played. The best team for everybody to enjoy badminton is to find a team about your level. A team too good or too weak will certainly not bring you fun. Hope everybody find your sweet home team asap!
Quote an example. Our Tue session is open for public to join us. We allow low intermediate players to join us. Because of this, we have difficulty to get advanced players. But for our Sunday sessopm, attendance is strictly per invitation. Now we have more and more advanced players, some are Malaysia state players. We even have players at very high competitive level.
