But none of them have Taufik, or even Sony and Simon material. Relatively to other country's juniors i.e Viktor, Kento, Thamasin, etc, INA MS youngsters are left behind. They may reach Alam, Hayom, or Tommy's level. And not to forget, Tommy's junior days were even better. Let's see.

Tommy is better in junior because there are no competitor... only few names like Hong Ji Hoon... Currently, there are so many good junior players...

I know that Viktor/Kento, Thammasin is in front. But i am sure, vito/riyanto/others are not way behind. not so far. we have to see their progress step by step. in term of skill, i think our juniors can compete with any juniors in this world, but they have mental problem.

this problem has to be fixed by sending them in appropriate tourneys.

    Ranking updates:
Edi Subaktiar/Arya Maulana Aldiartama are officially the top-ranked BD U-19 pair and should be the top-seed for the upcoming WJC, thanks to their victory at the Maybank Malaysia Youth International.

    Hafiz Faisal/Putra Eka Rhoma (5/7)

Pairs to be prepared for AJC/WJC 2013:
    Hantoro/Arsya Isnanu Ardi Putra (16)

    Yantoni Edy Saputra/Tedi Supriadi
    (32)

Will China pull out from WJC since it is in Japan ?

    I think they will not.

    Good luck for INA team.

hmm,the most china will get in this wjc are 2 titles(out of 6).the most.
i think it is a wise choice for them not to participate,in order to safe face, just like last wjc.
even if they participate last year, they wont win ms,ws,md and team event. wd and xd are about 50% only.

hmm, as reported by badMania, Luluk said that setyaldi is quite promising... hmm, maybe right ?? his result in sirnas is not that good because he plays in 3 depts, MS,MD and XD. he should concentrate on 1 dept only... beating kho is not easy, i consider this as a good result for setyaldi...

Just saw the news that Hafiz Faisal/Putra Eka Rhoma finally beat Edi Subaktiar/Arya Maulana Aldiartama 21-16, 21-12 in the Pembangunan Jaya Cup Final. Jaya Raya also retained the cup after beating Djarum 3-1. The key for Djarum was the loss of Thomi Azizan Mahbub to R. Eka Fajar Kusuma in 3 tight-sets: 21-13, 20-22, 19-21 and of course Edi/Arya. Russeli Hartawan also won 1 pt in GS as expected against Arinda Sari Niaga 21-17, 21-7. Edi Subaktiar/Melati Daeva Oktaviani won the solitary point for Djarum against Hafiz Faisal/Masita Mahmudin 22-20, 21-19.

If Djarum won the BD, the tie was expected to go to the final match between Melati Daeva Oktaviani/Rosyita Eka Putri Sari and Lya Ersalita/Russeli Hartawan.

The good news for INA is Hafiz/Putra are hopefully peaking at the right time after an excellent tourney in INA GPG last week and reaching the top 90 ranking (senior rank) in just 5 tourneys. For Edi/Arya, it's normal to lose to your compatriot, hopefully they will show their best performance at the WJC 2012 in Chiba!

Thomi will replace the injured Vito in the individual round... Thomi will not be playing in the team event.

Thomi Azizan Mahbub, the recent Sirnas winner, beating experienced player like Alamsyah Yunus

it's a good replacement and a good valuable experience for thomi

anyway, if there is any INA MS who made it to SF in this WJC 2012 it would be a very good achievement, I think.

this year, our juniors are not that convincing...

they are good, some are very good, but dont know, maybe they really lack of concistency and also mental strengh. Gifar is not that bad, but his perform in team event is quite bad.
I expect much more from him...

Edi/Arya is not convincing too. Alfian/Shela not different. We should get at least 1 point against Korea, but we cant...

a lot of talents with outstanding skill, but something is wrong and must be fixed.

anyway, i still remember that Fung Permadi has ever said that Riyanto, Vito and Gifar had been prepared by PB Djarum to be top MS players, he also believed that all of the three have everything needed to be top players and challenge the world....

Ok, now i see the reality, maybe only one of them will make it.

anyway, i will always monitor their progress closely along with another MS talents like Fikri Ihsandi Hadmadi, Thomi Azizan Mahbub, Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo, Setyaldi Putra, Kho Henrikho Wibowo, Ihsan Maulana Mustofa, Panji Akbar Sudrajat, Jonathan Christie, and M Bayu Pangisthu. I only hope 2 or 3 of them can be world beater, or maybe 1 is enough ?

Lots of talents, it depends on PBSI now to develop them further...
