I still need to learn how to write Japanese, i guess.. In case she says Yes to my invitation for exchanging emails
Watching the Malaysian GP final, she played like WSX - lot of deceptive shots . But she made way more mistakes, and WSX has better footwork. In the first game, she made 4 or 5 unforced errors at 1 times and let the young Thai players even the score. But look like she has lot of great potential.
wow, what a beautiful player.. japan has a lot of young beautiful player, such as ayaka, misaki and gorgeous minatsu mitani.. i think she would be one of the most popular japanese player in the future...
She has created history for Japan by beating Li xuerui (Reigning olympics champion) by holding the hands together with P V Sindhu, Juliane, Bae JY . What a wonderful player...!!! I hope she will do better this time in Swiss Open. Her account opening probably with SUN YU (if she proceeds to main draw) in the first round. I hope that she will go through and probably meet Yanjiao Jiang in the second round..
Congrats to her for winning the 2013 australian open Guys, we certainly need more photos of her to spice up this thread, don't you think so?
She is beginning to impress me more and more, no longer the typical rallying type player but able to attack more and better. To me she is the top JAP WS now.
Aya Ohori is another beauty. Japan is a biggest "factory" for producing more and more beautiful player which make the sport more beautiful to watch and enjoy . However, Sayaka Takahashi seems like a very good player. A player to watch for any top player.
A player who is great to watch in many ways. Hope that she and Aya Ohori will do well, for the good of badminton. However, the attacking style is not very efficient at the highest level. We see that clearly in MS and WD. You have to be so much better than your opponent to play that way. In order to be more successful, Sayaka Takahashi will have to evolve to a more balanced style, similar to what Wang ZhengMing has done.
Moreover, she's a lefty.. difficult to guess her shots P/S, from what I observed last week, she's more of an offensive player and not afraid to attack at times.
