I wish, it's not being delivered till Monday/Tuesday for that very reason. The long wait continues... Good to have to live with a Precision and a T2 for when I play Sunday, sad times indeed.

    short review about Tpro
play 1 hour only today due to the court is booked for five a side football

    spec: 84.8 gram
    BP: 295mm
    String: Zymax 67 red, 24lbs
    Grip: RKEP ultimate red

    History: Cab 8, Arcsaber 008T

I must say I'm impressed, I thought it would be a damn slow racket, but it is not. It as fast as my Arcsaber 008 that is even balance
I have no issues about timing, it's like you already use this racket for years

the racket feels pretty solid and less vibration, most likely due to very stiff shaft
clear from base to base is pretty easy,
    netting is pretty good

now, the best thing is my smash become pretty hard
it's like boom! and the bird hits my partner body :p

Defense department also good, most likely due to the weight of the racket. It is fast enough for me to recover the bird, even the hardest one

overall, I really like this racket, however this is a short term review and I'm in pretty good condition today
let's see when I can play longer, maybe tomorrow

Why would you think that'd be a damn slow racket? It's a (heavy) 4U and the BP is juuust head light, so I'd guess that's a balanced, medium to fast racket....

Anyway, my 2 rackets from Mark arrived today, I picked them up from our neighbour (seemingly the DHL ppl dont bother to ring our bell at all - 4th floor (w/o elevator) is too high for them) this evening. No chance to play with them until Monday though....the Monday will be really hard, as I'll be totally anxious to test them out...and waiting's not my strong suit

    Specs:
    85,8g / 291mm / BG66sharp@26lbs / RKEP Ultimate on top of o.g.
    84,8g / 298mm / BG66@26lbs / towel grip on top of RKEP Elite (o.g. removed)

because 295 mm is head heavy, that's why I though it would be slow
but I guess the weight counter the BP..

when you tried the rackets, please give a review about it :)

    295mm is moderately head heavy!
but youre right, the lower wt helps speed

if it were a 87g racket, you'll feel the head heaviness :)

Will do. Unfortunately wasn't able to do a full review/comparison with the 287/83,8g one :S

I've been keeping up with this thread because I think it's awesome that one of our members is in the design process for a racket. After reading a lot of the reviews of the most recent Trinity Pro, I'm REALLY tempted to just buy the racket to use. For financial reasons though I often stop myself short of making these purchases but if my current racket breaks, I'm seriously considering the Trin Pro as my next racket.

I'm currently using Artery Tec Ti-99 3U/4g with BG-80 at 24 lbs. With my current racket I can get some pretty good power on my smashes and it's at an affordable price, one of the main things i like about it. I don't know exactly how flexible it is but according to the manufacturer it's rated as just stiff, though I don't have a reference point of how stiff it is. How stiff is it compared to the Trinity Pro?

I just made a rough measure of the balance point using a crude method(using my finger to find out where it's pretty much even and measuring that spot with a ruler), and with string and grip my racket has a BP at around 297mm. How accurate that is I'm not sure but possibly give or take 1 or 2 mm. According to what I've been reading, that's moderately head heavy but not very. I've also read a lot about the Ti-10 and how it's one of the legendary power rackets that the Trinity pro is trying to recreate because the old Ti-10 isn't made anymore.

I would say my arm strength is moderately good in that I can use the AT99 racket pretty well without getting TOO tired after about a 2 hour session (I do in a 3 hour session though). I play mixed nowadays since my doubles partner is out of commission with a recently dislocated shoulder so I find myself playing almost exclusively a rear court game and rarely at net.

How would you think the Trinity Pro matches up with my game based off a brief description of what I've given you? Also, in the future how would we place an order for a racket? If possible can anyone give a stiffness comparison of the two rackets and the weight difference between the two?

I like to do a lot of research before getting my racket, it's a really fun process for me!

Normally, the BP is measured with the factory grip and w/o strings. 297 strung&gripped is either pretty head-heavy or you use thicker strings and less grip than me ;)
My TPros (specs are above) have BPs around 270-280 when they're ready to play - but I use towel grip and grip pretty high (almost like Budiarto :D). So, an interesting point would be how advanced you are technically - stiffer rackets require better timing and technique, e.g. even very strong players won't get the most out of the UPro if they have insufficient technique.
Based on what you've told us so far, I'd say your best choice would be a moderately head-heavy TPro (BP295+) with a bit of weight to carry through (86-88g). Perhaps an UPro is an option if you smash a lot, but it's very stiff and thus hard to master.
I enjoy both the TPro and the Precision in mixed doubles, with the Precision being less powerful, but a bit faster, which makes drives a bit easier and harder. I like playing very 'tactical' mixed though, focussing more on placement than smashes (although I do like to smash)

I would say you would be fine if you can handle a stiff racket
Tpro is very stiff but still bearable
don't worry about the stiffness, you will be able to handle it

I think Tpro is good for single and quick enough for double
choose a light weight Tpro for double
go for high BP 295mm or more since you play at the rear court and usually that means you will do most of the smash

To place your order, go to http://dcbadminton.net/
    and see your distributor
** since I have no idea which stockton you are, there are areas name stockton in Australia, UK, and US..

Good to know that kind of atttude isn't unique to RM:).

My own TPro just keeps getting better - I'm convinced the only way to improve on this sheer feel is with a woven frame.

Which is why I'm looking forward to the Revelation - somehow I can play higher tensions with the TPro without negative effects, i.e. clears are still effortless, smashes are actually harder....and it feels so....direct, as if I'm actually touching the shuttle with my hand, without vibration [after I get the timing right]. If the Revelation can improve on that, it'll be my go-to-racket for the next season and will ruin me as I'll need 4 :D

Thank you for the replies! I appreciate the input as to the trinity pro match up. I only consider myself an intermediate player with above average technique, but definitely not advanced. That being said, the main thing is that I have pretty good pronation on my smash/clears so my power is pretty good. I've only been using the Artery Tec Ti-99 for about 3 weeks now because my previous one broke and I used the Carbonex 8000 light for about 3 months while waiting to get another AT99. Since that's a very flexible shaft, and I get a lot more power with the AT99, I think the stiffer shaft suits me.

Probably one of the reasons why my racket is at ~297 BP is because I'm only using the RKEP Ultimate grip as a replacement grip. That and I like pretty thin grips so I don't use very much overlay so the weight from the grip isn't that heavy.

I looked at the ultra pro and I'm probably thinking I won't be able to fully use the stiffness so probably the Tpro would be a better fit for me. I probably won't be getting this racket for awhile so there may be future versions of the TPro that come out while I'm waiting and I'll keep up with the thread while that happens =). But to order I guess we would just send an email to the closest distributor from the DC Badminton site and request the desired weight and BP of the racket?

Oh and I usually keep my specific living location a little generic just for safety reasons, but I live in California in the U.S.

Yeah, that might be an idea - we have gone a bit off topic...

My little Panda Power collection just got a bit bigger - thanks Dan & Mark :)

    UK/EU TPro pre-orders ASAP

The next TPro shipment's arrival in USA is imminent (five days or so), and since I'm getting some stuff of my own from Dink I can include some TPros within reason:).

Any UK/EU who wants one, please contact me ASAP i.e. before the beginning of next week; my own purchases will be shipped as soon as it can be arranged, so I'm on a tight timetable this time around!

Email or PM welcome, specs subject to +/- 1 g and +/- 2 mm.

Actually, the Ultra Pro (82g/298mm) is easily my favourite, but it's pretty new so the grip isn't worn yet.
The Trinity 2 (original version with the silver pinstripes) was my "go to" racket for a long time, so that's why that one has a worn out grip.
The original Trinity just looks well-used because the white grip gets dirty fast - I haven't played with it in a very long time.
Some of the others never got used much because the strings broke so quickly.

The only one I really don't like is the original Ultra, which is too heavy and too stiff for me - and I guess the original Trinity, which isn't bad, but I just find the Trinity 2 / Precision / Ultra Pro are better in every respect.

I'm not ready to comment on the Trinity Pro just yet - I've only used it for one night, and I'm suffering with a wrist injury too (I think probably tendonitis), which pretty much prevented me from smashing properly.
