If I have a chance to play against Taufik, I will make a video on youtube and tell everyone in the world. It is what a badminton addict is dying for. :)

Then probably everyone will sign up for level A. No one will play in B/C/D. I think BBC should just simply cancel B/C/D. ;):D:p

    not sure.

Ben says draws will be out on Wednesday. they are working hard on it right now.

talked to Holvy yesterday. he won't be competing as he is a bit burned out from coaching and taking care of his new baby. i was hoping to see Holvy vs. Taufik, ah well...

Sad news. Dicky Palyama from the Netherlands is ill. He will not be able to attend the BBC Championships or the US Open. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope he feels better soon.

Taufik Hidayat, Ardy Wiranata, Tony Gunawan, Halim Heryanto-Ho, Howard Bach, Anna Rice and many more will still be competing. We have about 334 entries in this tournament. It will be very exciting. Please feel free to stop by and check out the action.

    Tis great..

..and good to see! And over 300+ participants, too!! Maybe the Finals would be between Ardy vs. Taufik..:)..Too bad he won't be competing in the upcoming U.S. Open. Would love to see him compete..
..i notice Lili is no longer carrying her Zhou last name. She is now playing under Liliane Chow..:)

Lili is using her legal name. Just how it goes when you translate languages.

    ^^Yes..^^

..certainly, she is.:) Just mentioning it, in case someone can't find her name in the list of players.
Btw, i take it she used Lili Zhou as her legal name in previous tourneys (2008, 2007, 2006...)

Chow is Cantonese. Zhou is Mandarin. So Lili must be Cantonese. :)

she was from GuangXi (the province to the west of Guangzhou/Canton). her family now lives in Guangzhou so yes, you can consider her Cantonese

One of these 2 players will be so excited..

..i don't know which one will be more excited & motivated or maybe even nervous, Gumaro Diaz or Quang Minh Nguyen, to have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to play against Taufik...

On the other half, Howard Shu must be somewhat excited to play against Ardy...;)

I know you'll be busy but looking fw to the pics, kwun!:)

Looking at the rest of field, I don't see anyone other than Lee Hock Lai and Ardy whose ass can avoid being whipped. :)

I hope Bay Badminton Center will have someone taped some of the Taufik matches. That will really help promote the sport. :)

Gumaro's really excited of course from his post above. He is lucky to win the lottery in this case. I'd buy one of those shirts from THL before I'd play against Taufik haha.
