very surprised to see malaysian juniors in the ongoing li-ning youth international tournament in singapore. i think its been a while since bam last sent any juniors to singapore.
aren't they send player there last year i remember they had i believe only a few of them from bjss some are state player
i was referring to the juniors from the national squad. they wore the YY jerseys with the proton and jatil logos. nope didnt see any last year
Weird... why didn't I see our GeorgeCW's name in the list? He should be same age as these juniors... err... tak BOLEH? lolx
george in jipun la... having sauna and sushi there. also stalking on reiko... lol. too bad that the malaysian boys are tied up in perak open. This is a good exposure to them for the sg event. Hopefully the event timing can be adjusted in the future. I am very impressed with the pinoy juniors. The indonesian are making a lot of intimidating noise after each point. It rattles the opponent a bit.
I have high regards for Zulfadli, future star..his determination is shown by how he fought his way into BAM setup, beating his peers along the way. SAw him play at AJC2009, he has good height (for his age), a crafty and intelligent player and showed little fear..need to work out on his fitness..rough unpolished diamond.
Badminton: Zulfadli plans to work on becoming junior champion “I played against Chong Wei once when I was 14. Unfortunately, I could not raise my game in my second meeting against him too. He was too good and too fast for me and I lacked preparation,” said Zulfadli, who lost the match 9-21, 8-21. “From now, I can go full-time into badminton. I will focus on ending my junior career on a high note next year.” Zulfadli will no longer be eligible to compete in the Asian and world junior championships in 2012. “Currently, my world ranking is quite low. I will continue to play in international tournaments to win ranking points and also to gain as much experience as possible,” he said. On whether he would want to join the national badminton set-up now that he has completed his SPM, Zulfadli said: “I have not decided yet. “Anyway, there is not much difference whether I am in or out. I only miss out on quality sparring but I can make up by competing in many tournaments.” http://thestar.com.my/sports/story.asp?file=/2010/12/18/sports/7649288&sec=sports
Huh? FIght his way into BAM ??? Zulfadli(and maybe his dad) didnt want to be in BAM, BAM & BJSS kept asking him many times. His dad signed Zulfadli with KLRC when he was 14 or 15, the lad seems happy being an independent.
yeah, it was damn cold though. My whole face and hands were shivering from morning till night especially.. sorry for the OT ..
Malaysian smaller juniors are in good hands. Many made it to finals. If some are not involved in perak open, am sure there will be more finalist from Malaysian. China and Japan did not attend tho. http://tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=D1D1AD58-64D5-42CA-93E4-7B78FB687228&d=20101218
NO idea he is still an independent Thanks for pointing out..as long as he is progressing, he doesn't have to belong to BAM.
IMO as long as he can beat the rest at his own age, that should be fine. Getting the chance to spar and match the BAM players are important. What is his record against the others beside lcw?
