Recently: because my preference changed, in a totally unexpected way (who would've thought I'd ever like the Z-Slash??)

    Cuz I do :)

I figure if my wife can have hundreds of handbags/purses...then I can get a few rackets.

Because all my rackets are a looker so I figured I'd get myself a Kimoni NP 5000, a no frills fully woven racket (hope it plays good enough)!

I have 2 hands, but only use right hand to play badminton. yet my badminton bag packs 8 rackets, while another 7 rackets were hanging in my room. And now i'm still considering to buy another racket. The question such "why do i need new racket" had crossed my mind long ago when i decided to buy my second racket! Yet i can never find the answers for this question. All i ever blame was "damn all these racket marketing campaigns!" If i were to sell out all these 15 rackets on their market values, i could've paid off my honeymoon trip to Hawai, plus half of the ticket price from Asia! Too bad i don't own Ti-10 (1st & 2nd gen), AT700 (1st gen), MP 99/100... or else i would've been a little richer by now!

    looking for the "one".
its not about this brand or that, but unfortunately, not all of us can demo a racket in store and will have to settle trying them out after educated guesses as to what may suit best... and from there its a downward spiral for the pursuit of happiness. :)
I can think of worse ways of spending my money.
But i still keep things in perspective. I spend more on shuttles than on rackets. To me, that says something.
Im just an average player.... at best. :)

Time changes, the style of play, the partners and the skill... hence demands are changing as well. If you're supposed as a member of one team to play with one particular shuttle, have an other partner or even just have one slight shift in tactics, your might want or need one new toy.

But sometimes it is just the fact, that we all are children, wanting something new to play with :p

One evident option is missing: I need this new racquet to help improve my game.

This is always my choice and I don't think I am the only one to do so; well, I hope...!

    It's not like I have a choice :(

My weapon of choice is Carbonex 20 - not sp, special or tour, just the plain ol' 20. It's getting harder and harder to find one so I have to jump to the isometric bandwagon.

I'm going to buy new racquets tomorrow :) Looking to downgrade to MP99, Armortech 900T or Z-Slash (my ex has one and I quite like it).
