Took that shot yesterday in Macau during an interview with a yahoo guy. It's a lucky shot..........perhaps.........it wasn't........I really don't know!
Even more of them on the field today. People start concerning as 1. they dig up the grass/field for food 2. their waste spread all over the field 3. their waste contain seeds of unknown species plants (which could be harmful locally) from the places they come from.
It looks like.. ..it's a winter wonderland in Vancouver, already..Actually here in SoCal, nights have been pretty chilly, with temperatures dropping to bone-chilling low in the 40s and 30s..brrr..And we're not even officially in Winter season..
We are darn lucky to have the warm air today and the heavy rain helps to wash away the snow, otherwise, snow will be very messy all over the places.... Now then, we have the warning for flooding...:-(((
Sunny days in Singapore at Jurong West Though we experience unannounced intermittent rain from time to time, in general our days are usually sunny and warm. We've never experience snow here except hail stones but very, very rarely. We should expect more rain during this time of the year, but Christmas in Orchard Road will again draw the crowds, including the tourists. Over the weekend, I ventured to the western most part of Singapore we call Jurong West. It is one of the many large satellite public housing estates, with high-rise flats or apartments supported by public amenities, including 24- hour coffee shops, schools and supermarkets like Giant. I could see the Nanyang Community Club, where I suspect some of our BC members may be playing badminton there on a regular basis. Opposite it is the very imposing City Harvest Church, somehow very attractive to young people.
Loh, You stay around Street 91? Though I stay in CCK, I often go to Jurong West Sport Complex for my badminton sessions with my friends (we are all beginners )on Sundays, unless there's marathon on that Sunday. Nice photoshots as well, I wish I could take pictures like that.
Hi Joe, I live in the West Coast but not exactly in Jurong West. It is my camera that did the work, not me. I have some more pics as I pass from Jurong East to Jurong West and I think I got a shot of JWSC as well although I've not played there before. Of course, Jurong East boasts of the Science Centre and I have also captured some other sights as I went along, including the Chinese Gardens from afar. And I mustn't miss Nanyang University (now NTU or Nanyang Technological University of course) and the beautiful Chinese temple:
Oh I see. Do you cycle around with your camera often? To me, I think you did . I used to study in Jurong Sec during the 90's and I miss Omni Theater... I saw Jurong East Sports Complex in one of your shots, alot of good players played there as well .
Good that some pics brought back some good memories. Yes that was Jurong East SC, not Jurong West. You're almost right that I cycled, but to go faster I used a motor scooter.
