INA only has 2 representatives in last four through two WS, Hana Ramadhini and Millicent Wiranto. TPE and HKG shuttlers dominate semifinal round, booked 7 and 5 slots respectively.

I had seen him when he was small, saw him again about 5 years ago and was impressed then. Didn't see him until for a while as I had a hiatus from the local scene. Not sure if he and Fernando can get into the top 50, not because of the quality of their skills but rather limited by the number of tournaments HKBA decides to send them to.

So she's the only hope for INA to bag title here as Milicent lost to Thai WS.

Ciputra is sponsoring a badminton tournament in Vietnam?

Hmm.., only one representation of INA in WS. She is unseeded. Well, let's hope she can do the best ;)

HK have a good representation in this tournament. But it seems two 17 year old girls from Thailand have beaten the world no 15 in the women's doubles.

    Narissapat LAM [5] Thailand
    Puttita SUPAJIRAKUL Thailand
    -
Hong Kong Lok Yan POON [1]
    Hong Kong Ying Suet TSE
    21-18 17-21 21-11

The THA pair has a decent shot at a medal in the AJC & WJC. Lee/Shin are no longer eligible.

YES! Hana Ramadhini keeps up the tradition of winning in Vietnam IC as she beat the Thai girl in straight-sets 21-14, 21-19. She should be INA's no 1 choice for the AJC & WJC. I think she will overtake PV Sindhu to be WR5 in the Junior ranking.

With Sun Yu and Tai Tzu Ying no longer eligible for AJC & WJC (correct me if I am wrong, as they were born in 1994), the main rivals for medals in AJC will be Nozomi Okuhara, Busanan Ongbumrungpan, PV Sindhu, as well as some Chinese and Korean players for sure.

congrats Hana.. her first title after entering pelatnas. It'll certainly boost her confidence up towards WJC/AJC.

i feel there are some improvements on pelatnas WS. Keep it up Liang Chiu Hsia! :D
