I wish I had seen this post!
I was volunteering down there, would've loved to get a bit of playing and banter in.
Looks like you guys had fun! Maybe next time...

well a million apologies for the EXTREMELY late reply because in all honesty, i completely forgot about this thread >_>' Thank you so much to ctcjad and Fengwei for being awesome, and jamesd (i'm still confused as to which one it is) for being REALLY awesome (not being biased, but he bought me a shirt :3) and yes that is me on the floor... oh how I laugh at how bad I am and even worse I was back then... still, again, thanks for a great summer! :D

Took you long enough! Been almost a year since London 2012 :p I had a fantastic time meeting all of you, even if someone's mom had to tag along! The group dinner was a great idea for a little BC get-together but I failed to remember everyone's names... :( And I missed the badminton session!

The whole event felt hugely different compared to Beijing 2008 and I think Ctjcad would agree. Very European, very down to earth. I was less awestruck and blown away than four years earlier. However, the feeling of seeing some amazing friends again, even after several years, bunched together in a nice little house on the outskirts of London, taking the Tube to Wembley every morning, exploring the big city at night, talking over all the new and old adventures that we may or may not have been through together.. oh, and not to forget; all the Indian fried/peri peri chicken we had for days on end.. AND meeting a huge number of absolutely wonderful people and making new friends every single day there: It was all so GOOD.

And Chris, you visiting me in Amsterdam after the Olympics/your Eurotrip made it all just so much better. Perfect conclusion of another quadrennial happening.

Well I'm sorry Fengwei that "I'm taking a guy I don't know around London and being his guide" sounds a little odd to my mum :p

No, you got your racquet and genuinely hit me. Not smash a me, that was when I wanted to practice defence :p
anyway, nice! I just let go of my arc10pg for an N90II and traded an Arc FB for a Kason F9. Looking to get rid of a telex though to build up funds for another F9 :3

    You still hit me :c
anyway, the Arc FB's as light as it says on the tin, seriously. So you get REAL fast swings on it, and defence+ net shots are improved/made easier. It's stiffer though so power shots like clears and smashes are slightly compromised, but it's not a HUGE difference. Just noticeable. I didn't play with it much because I let go of it quickly, but I got the feeling that cuz it was so light, it felt reeeaaalllly delicate, so I traded it before I broke it

oh right haha, I would like to try it but not to have one because of the way I play, I worry that the shaft will break as I tend to flex the shaft a lot when I smash, clear and etc :(

haha, well I reckon it could take it. It's just a matter of how often you mishit and/or clash in my opinion that determines when you'll break it
