Hi Tranqq, VAT (Sales Tax) is 20% in the UK. It varies in other European countries although, because the website is based in the UK, legally anyone purchasing from the European Union will pay the UK VAT rate rather than their local rate. The price including VAT for the racket you have purchased is £141.00 Many thanks.
unboxing video. review will come after i get some quality court time with them. i got 2 different specs. Electric Blue, heavy weight, medium balance, stiff. Gun Metal, medium weight, head heavy, medium stiff
I had the pleasure today of testing my friends new racket from Customworqs. I also had the opportunity of testing other Customworqs rackets. These are very high quality build and play exactly according to the spec. I'll be writing a review shortly but make no mistake, these are seriously good rackets! Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
i spent a day with the lighter spec customworqs (medium weight, medium stiff, head heavy) and find that the factory 0.66mm string and tension to be a bit too soft and dull for my taste. i need to restring it with my regular string to make a better judgement on the racket. i had a brief time with the heavier spec customworqs (heavy weight, stiff, medium balance) and initial feeling is that it is much more solid and substantial than the lighter version. i also found the factory grip to be rather poor compared to RKEP. so if anyone is planning to get one, i'd recommend ordering the regular grip and wrap over it instead. the paint job is beautiful.
as i mentioned i didn't like the original string/tension that came with the racket. so after i took those pics i re-strung it with ZM62@22/24.2lbs and the racket completely came alive. still overall a softer feel but the dullness is gone. the whole racket feels lively and powerful. i was able to hit some fast as well as powerful shots with it. i do think that super powerful player will overpower the medium stiff so they may want to customize it with a stiffer shaft instead. initial impression is positive. i will spend more time with and i will furnish a review in a week or two.
For either one of Kwun's review rackets. I don't care much for the actual specs, just curious if they are well-made rackets in their own respects.
I think customworqs should give buyers an option to name the rackets they have customised. You know? Like how those samurais in movies give names for their swords? We should be able to engrave names for our rackets too!! Hell if i ever have a racket i can name, i'd call it 'ass-whooper' cos i'll be whooping all my opponent's ass with it!! And then maybe when i get old and start coaching, i can one day say to my best student "here, take this ass-whooper and win that tournament for me" how cool would that be? Just my two cents opinion though ☺
