I would recommend the Voltric 5, Voltric 7, and Voltric 70. They are all medium flex according to the Yonex catalogue. Out of the three rackets the Voltric 5 is most head heavy, then Voltric 70 and then Voltric 7.

AT 700 is considered extra stiff according to the Yonex catalogue. C7 should be closer to medium stiff.

Armortec 600 is also flexible and head heavy.

AT700 does not feel extra stiff, more towards mid stiff to stiff.

In that case, either a 4U AT700 or a C7 would better cater to your needs :)

I see.... I think I shall stick to trying the C7 first. After reading that the AT600 BP is 285 - 295, it is not head heavy enough for me. I am using a MX60 now and has a BP around 298. I wish I get a flexible racquet with BP more than 300.. which a C7 can offer

But there are also lower end AT and VT for beginners to try which have a flexible shaft.

    just joking....:D
maybe just want to give people more power or people who has a weak arm.....
usually beginners who have wear arm or doesnt have good technique to hit the shuttle......
so, flexible shaft and head heavy will help them to give more power....
    just my opinion....:)

Hehe, I absolutely agree that a flexible shaft would help a beginner create better power. But hmm.... Yonex high ends are designed for advanced and intermediates aren't they? That's why they create Taiwan Made Voltrics and Armortecs for beginners. Haha.

or maybe yonex wants to give the beginners to feel of using high end racket...
i believe most high end rackets like VTZF, VT80, AT900 and AT700 not suitable for beginners because they're stiff shafted....

Totally agree. But my stringer recommended my beginner friend a stiff racket. He said it take less wrist power to flex it while a flexible rackets needs a lot of wrist power. I disagreed with him on this matter.

yes, i also disagree on that matter....
no way a beginner can play using their wrist as they are not trained yet....
it takes quite some time to gain a strong wrist....
imo, a beginner should work on basic hitting technique, stamina and footwork...
so , medium shaft of flexible shaft racket just fine for them....
what racket that the stringer recommends to your friend??

Some cheap Bekia racket. He says it's stiff, feels pretty stiff just by bending it. Yeah, I advised my friend not to heed his advice but instead get a flexible racket instead..
