I know this isn't the buy/sell forum, but maybe we could discuss an arrangement where I could buy some of that off of you although I don't know how shipping would go. In any case, I still expect Zymax 67 to live up to the Zymax name! mybadmintonstore ran out of 65 reels anyway
I am testing this string next week. I am an official tester for Ashaway string and I consider there is going to be a fantastic development in their range very soon from what I've tested. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
What great insight! On the original note, do we have any information about how long Gosen R4x110 lasts before breaking? I'm not in the habit of cutting strings before they break.
It really nose-dives during the first few hours, but it levels off very quickly and ends up staying tighter for longer, I think.
Strung up my test racket with this string today. Got to say it strings well. And yes, it's a hard string and feels very similar to BG80. Bear in mind Gosen strings are not made in the same factory as Yonex but I'm sure they understand the technology within the string. I'll be coaching over the next few days and will report again soon. If you can, please comment on the durability. A confirmation of how good this string is would make me very interested. I have feared BG80 because people say that it shrieks when strung.
Stringing is a scary enough job as it is How does everyone try out strings so quickly? I still have my ashaway zymax 67 sitting around because I'm trying the Fleet Ultimax Turbo Nano 66 lol... Perhaps you all have convinced me to try this Gosen string, after all. I'll try it after I get through some strings. I'm not really in the habit of cutting strings before they break.
Hahaha I do have my own machine! I own a klippermate m140. I think everyone here is getting to me I just cut a just-strung BG65Ti to possibly try out some Zymax 67! The only problem is, I don't string enough of others' rackets to merit cutting strings
I have a big problem cutting strings! I really have to be sure that they require re-stringing before cutting. I think it's like the old adage, "if it isn't broken, don't fix it".
Had my first play with this string. First impressions are not good. This is a hard string and I found that I was getting a lot of vibration from the string which I could feel in my arm. I'll leave it in for a few more days but I'm really surprised to discover this. For the record I strung my MX90 in one piece at 25/27lbs which is my usual setting. Maybe I prefer a softer string. I asked a fellow player to test who usually plays with BG66 Ultimax in his rackets. He confirmed there was a lot of vibration from the string. Perhaps is works better in some rackets but it certainly doesn't suit my MX90. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
