As far as I can see, all the photos show things weighing pretty much 19kg. My guess would be that it was successfully strung at that tension....kind of like the Panda Power thread ("...can take 42lbs string tension!").
Apparently, that is my inital thoughts. Guessing though lead to nowhere though so we'll have to wait a while longer.
Yonex introduces a cross between Nanopreme, Fullerene, and CSC nanotube which is able to withstand 19.0kgs of stress? Like to picture of the samurai armor, but don't know it's relevance to the magic number.
"19 kg force" could mean anything (LCW's weight, the weight of the stack of 20s you'd need to buy this thing), but stringing tension seems pretty likely. Given the apparent width of the frame it would make a lot of sense.
I kind of hope that this Idea of 19kg string tension is incorrect. I shudder to think of all the elbow and shoulder injuries that are going to result from novice to intermediate players actually trying to play at those tensions. I hope there's more to this thing than allowing higher tensions. Of course they are going to make a lot of money on this thing if this 19 kg string tension turns out to be true. They are going to sell a hell of a lot of string.
Hmmm.... actually I consider this racket's frame seems to be smaller compare to VT80/VT70. Perhaps the frame of this racket is semi-isometric (just like Arc ZL) cmiiw
In addition to foregoing, I predict this new racket would be more head-heavy and stiffer comparing to other voltric series. Thus, logically, it would posseses larger sweetspot and generates more power. (IMHO)
Stiffer than Vt80, why not... but even more head heavy then Vt80? It wouldn't make sense since only a few folks out there are able to fully handle the head heaviness of the Vt80.
VT-ZF will be head heavier than VT80 , frame n shaft are also thinner than VT80 , as for the frame , its some where in between VT80 n Arc Z. There is also a VT-ZF LTD purple to be released in May. http://www.at700.com/thread-16685-1-1.html
Would be amazing if this is true - definitely will get one (3U), mainly for singles or when I'm feeling like just smashing all out in doubles and only defending flat to the net. My 3U VT80 can be my usual doubles racket hehe.
It shall be even-balanced after customized gripping. Don't think most would settle with the original grip (unless they are meant to be kept).
