That's what they pay the big $$$ for . "All" Koreans, all Koreans that fall under the agreement between Victor and the Korean badminton association ... (probably all national teams down to the junior level) On a side note: Lee Hyun Ill I believe is still on BraveSword 11 ... (at least as recent as the Swiss Open). Noticed Carolina Marin as well with BS11 now ... (and several more ladies on the Korean team)
Thanks for the information. Good to see a wide variety of rackets being used too. I wonder how these professional players end up choosing their rackets. I suppose they have the whole range of rackets and try them out over several weeks/months. Being professional, I suppose they aren't sucked into the marketing hype, hype of other people/posters (hehe) etc. Their careers depend on them performing well I suppose, and they choose which racket feels best for them. You know what I'd really like to see? An interview with the world's top 10 players/pairs of each group (MS, WS, MD, WD, XD) asking something like: "How exactly does the racket impact your performance?"
Of course it's very important otherwise Korean team would go for Wilson or Apacs, or anybrand that will provide the most funding. Does anyone have any info if any top players using Apacs??
He used it until the All England 2011. Yonex has reminded us that he's won three straight tournaments with the VT80 since!
Gan Teik Chai and Tan Bin Shen are both sponsored by apacs: http://www.apacs-sports.co.uk/catalog/sponsorship/info_6.html They made it into the All England Men's Doubles Quarter-Finals in 2010. Interestingly, back then (2010), one uses the Armour Muscle Pro 95 (at 30 pounds), while another uses the Tantrum 200 (at 31 pounds). The Armour Muscle Pro 95 has a balance point of 305mm! I'm pretty sure the guy who introduced me to apacs (advanced level player) mainly used the Armour Muscle Pro 95 (his "go-to racket") and had unbelievably fast smashes. Seems this racket is no longer in production though?
By the way, can anyone confirm whether Mathias Boe is using 3U or 4U? How about Lee Chong Wei and Peter Gade?
Okay, LCW and TH must both be using 3U rackets - the AT900P Lee Chong Wei edition and the ARC Z-Slash Taufik Hidayat edition are both 3U.
Yes, and doesn't sound like she's complaining of shoulder/arm pain like many guys on this forum hehe.
I think since Mogensen and Boe use VT80 their performance is not as good as before. Today Arc10 (Alvent) and NS9900 (Ahsan) have beaten VT80
