I feel she has a psychological barrier to overcome....which if conquered she stands a good chance to be no 1 at some stage in her career.... -
She certainly has as good a shots, if not better than any other WS player, and she is a complete natural for reading the game playing from such a young age. So all that is left for her to become no 1 is hard work - fitness, player homework and mental strength.
May i know who is the guy standing right of Ratchanok in the 4th pic? Saw him during Sudirman Cup and he's much better looking in person though.
He is Pattharapol (private coach's Ratchanok ),you can see him still AE 2013. He did play national MD with Sudkate.
i think she will be able to break into world top 3 with a good performance in WC and a couple of final in the rest of the SS/PSS
I think by the end of this week she will be top 3. (Ranking table will show it 20th June) WR4 Wang yihan is out of IO so Rat is ahead of her in points now WR3 Julianne Schenk has to win on Thursday to stay ahead of Rat WR2 Saina has to come 1st or 2nd this week or will drop below Rat WR1 LX safe So if Julianne loses her next match and Saina fails to get to the final then Ratchanok will be WR #2!! If Julianne wins and Saina fails to get to the final then still Rat is number 3. If Julianne loses her next match regardless of Saina Rat is number 3 Pretty good odds I would say since SN got Takahashi and JS got Hirose. I will eat my hat if IR is not top 3 by the end of this week!
That's Ratchanok?! All that make-up makes her look like a 26 year old woman. Not that that's a bad thing. It's just not the look of the enthusiastic youthful tigress of the court scene.
just like everyone else, the young kids want to make themselves look old and mature. when they gets old, they want to look young again!
She has 2 signature shots that catches her opponents frequently and that I totally admire. The late forehand cross court clear from corner to corner, and the delayed hold net shot that almost looks like she's carrying the shuttle over.
