my sw37 (4u) feels pretty fast to me.... Honestly, I never expected it to be that fast How much faster is the BS series?
j4kie...i'm totally with ur feel on bs12 (very similar to the 09, if a bit less head heavy). and for sw37, yes i admitted that it will depend on the play style. since i am trying both, bs12 is more fast, and superb manuverability. sw35 is better choice rather than sw37 for stronger player, imho.
Doesn't mean all that much if it's just printed on - the frame shape is not really aerodynamic when compared to the BS or Nanoray series. Much quicker. A 4U racket will always feel much, much quicker than it's 3U equivalent, I noticed the same with my 4U VT70. However, the 3U BS rackets are all at least as quick - and for me, nearly any 3U racket (exceptions being very head light rackets, like 700RP or anything below 285mm BP) is more powerful than any 4U racket. I don't think taking a head heavy racket in 4U is such a great choice if you're not a female XD player of a very front court-oriented MD player - the decrease in power is very noticeable, and the only thing that's better than with a less head heavy 3U racket is net play, as the high BP will allow very controlled net shots. Speed around the mid court (drives and block defense) should be the same.
well the 4u version of sw37 felt better in my hands. that was why I decided on the 4u version over the 3u version
i am currently letting go my AT700 LTD as too stiff for me and strung @ 32lbs would love to try SW37 since its well balanced racket can it support high tension?
just ordered a victor SW 37, cant wait for it to arrive. strung with nbg95 at 25lbs. bought the 3U version cuz i have been using 3U for my entire life. i dont dare to invest on 4U cuz i scared i might not like it. but i might too. hope to try 4u one day
That was my thoughts too. Using a 3U VT70, so I went along with the 3U SW37... loving them both. Both medium stiffness and HH (but VT70 is slightly more), so when I'm feeling tired I go for the SW37. No way that renders it as a backup though!
if you are use to a 3u racket then stick to a 3u racket. Personally I like a racket with a dry weight between 82-87g. That is why on the whole I like choosing 4u racket. My sotx woven 8a dry weight is 86g.
SW37 is head heavy. Maybe your grip setup is lowering the BP so much it ends up balanced, which is helped by the low weight, but the racket itself is head heavy.
Not according to the engraving on the cone. The DOT is in the middle which makes it BALANCED racquet. So, don't know where you got your racquet, but the website is such and supports my findings as well http://www.victorsport.com/product_data.php?id=lvHnoJJpKqrMsNOuuPQwwxxyyUUV0

Hm. Interesting. Seems like they are determined to make the SW series less and less head heavy - and less attractive Seriously, why introduce increasingly head light rackets to a series that started as head heavy? The Brave Swords aren't very head heavy either, so I don't see the need :S
Okay, so the big question is, do I get one of these or do I get a BS 10? Looking for something to compliment my BS11 and a BS09. Haven't had a whole heap of luck with the Superwaves, so if this is anything like a SW35 it's off my shopping list. Comments?
