You can't use both unless you do some creative internal rewiring, which would void you warranty. If you can find a 1/8th" mono head phone splitter then you can use both with no problem.

I'm checking with Herb via email to make sure that by ordering the pedal I didn't have the gripper switch removed. I would really like to have both options.

I'll definitely post pictures once I have it all installed. I'm mounting it on a silent partner crump as an fyi.

Kwun's is version 10.2 while the version (with switch at gripper) is version 11.
You should have the version-11 with switch at gripper by default.
And as CovinaStringer (dwdag ?) said, you can not use both because it uses same port at the machine, but I never tried to use 1/8" splitter.

Heard back from Herb and he confirmed that it will come with both, he did also confirm it was possible to use both at the same time via splitter.

It's just a momentary contact curcuit or SPST switch. Pushing either switch will close the curcuit, so pressing both will not make a difference.

Agreed, I'm not saying I WANT to use both at once, just that I want both included so that I can choose between the two. Using both at once just came up as a side issue.

As it is just a simple switch, I can't see why you wouldn't be able to make and mount a simple switch from Radio Shack instead of buying them from Herb. It wouldn't look as nice but would probably cost less than $10 and some soldering.

I thought only the European models had the TENNISHEAD printed above the 2086 Professional. Did you buy this directly from Herb?

Personally I prefer to stand while stringing, my machine (Klipper M140) is ontop of a video/bookshelf so its at a good height to stand and string. I have yet to find an actual stand for it but am still looking.

Want to Revive and old thread. If i were to purchase/DIY my own foot switch (not from wise)
Would this be the equivalent (guitar foot switch):

    http://www.long-mcquade.com/product...ectronics/AFS1_-_Single_Button_Footswitch.htm

and purchase a 1/4 inch mono to 1/8 inch mono adapter?

    Thanks.
