The MAS get heavy casualties at beginning of today session...

i think only LCW will survive R16 as others will not survive...

INA has secured 1 semifinal ticket through MD discipline as Angga/Ryan will meet their compatriot, either Berry/Yohanes or Bona/Afiat tomorrow.

Xue Song bested Taufik in two !

Since the GER Open I sensed Qiao Bin is overtaking Gao Huan and it looks that way now.

Who's this Hui Xirui, another youngster? I was thinking MAS' best hope Sonia might progress to the SF if, and I think she could, overcome Jindapon next; alas,it's not to be.

Going by how the score panned out, I think Kento Momota is also a fast improving player, he lost a close fight with Qiao Bin.

I predicted Lee Dong Keun go beat Daren Liew, but it really shouldn't be the case. From what I remember of LDK, he doesn't attack a lot, just rallies. With Daren Liew and his stamina, it was a recipe for disaster...

therefore LDK will have a match up with Chong Wei Feng as he also play rallies and less attack...

Hahaha ! Many people do not realise that Rexy actually just started working full time in INA only in the past few days. I don't think he is in Sydney at the moment. Long distance part time coaching from Philipines in the past few months.

Not that wonderful. Liew Daren beat LCW in straights a few weeks ago. And look where Liew Daren ends up.

LCW decides to play properly suddenly. Pity he can't do that against Lin Dan or Chen Long.
