No way ZM67 has less control than BG80. It's softer, so that for me translates into better touch. Holds tension better too. If you want repulsion, ZM62 has the edge over both BG80 and ZM67.
I have tried Zm65 25lbs for 2 days and I feel it is not repuslsive as Zm67 but has better control. Thanks to Steve of Ashaway for sending me a few package sample. It doesn't feel like 0.65.
Why ZM67 Green colour feels thicker than Ivory colour and also Ivory colour is smoother and easier for stringing?
Udonming, did you try the sample or production model of the zymax 65? Did you mean the 65 not as repulsive as the 62 or 67?
I've never used or strung with Ashaway before, but interested to know about them. Can some let me know what the Ashaway equivalent to the following Yonex strings are and if they are better than their Yonex "counterparts"? BG65Ti BG80 BG66 NBG98 NBG95
I don't believe there is simple one to one counterpart relation between Yonex and Ashaway. Ashaway has its uniqueness. I would suggest to start with Ashaway Micropower, or Zymax62.
Okay I got a reel of the new Zymax 65 in red and had my racket strung at 26lbs (main/cross) and what i noticed was the string is pretty rough, however it is very soft at the same time. It was not hard stringing with the new Zymax 65 at all, and right off the bat, i notice it is a very repulsive string. I been doing my best to push the string hard the last two weeks now, playing almost everyday, yet the string is still holding firm. I love the "ping" sounds it makes, and i think i am in love with this string. For comparison, well i am not a big fan of the rest of Yonex's strings except for the BG 66 Ultimax, Nanogy 98, and Nanogy 95. I found that the power and control is very comparable to all three of those strings. I am a very offensive-minded player and i play to smash and attack, therefore I demand a lot out of my string. To me right now the best string Yonex put out in overall performance is the Nanogy 98, the 95 is like a step sister of the 98 and the Ultimax power is a bit more than 98 but it does not last as long. I tend to break my Ultimax pretty fast, however, the 98 would last a bit longer than the Ultimax. Therefore in term of power and durability i would put the 98 over the Ultimax anyday. Comparing the Zymax 65 to the 98, its really hard to tell because I need to know if it can out-last my 98 or not. Therefore I will just have to wait and see, but so far so good with the new 65. Last but not least...I think the advantage that the zymax 65 have over my BG 66 Ultimax or the Nanogy 98 is that the zymax cost about half the price of the Ultimax or the 98.
After hearing so much of Zymax, i had been tempted to leave my BG66UM to try Zymax 62.Already ordered from mybadmintonstore. Cant wait to try it out!!! But sad to say, mybadmintonstore does not have Zymax 65 and any 1 knows where to order from asia pacific??
I think you might have a wait a bit because even here in the US, you cannot find Zymax 65 anywhere, not even the distributors. I just ordered it straight from Ashaway, that is the only reason why i got a hold of it. It literally only came out less than a month ago.
Lols, any way, i guess it does not matter. Looking forward to Zymax 65 too. Will forget about YY strings from now on. lols
Is there a zymax close to VS850? I'm thinking about to get a zymax for my 4U SW37 for double games with plastic shuttles (only).
ZM67 is the one you want. Nice string. A bit harder felling, and a slight edge in repulsion over VS850. Holds tension like a mofo.
Thanks. Harder feeling? Can you compare the ZM67 with BG80? The BG80's hard feeling is a little bit too hard for my taste. Playable but less enjoyable
Yeah, sure. It's more like a BG80 than a VS850, but I think it's a bit softer than 80. Kinda inbetween, I guess. Much prefer ZM67 on my C7 than VS850 - the combo of which just felt mushy. Plus, you know, red strings on the Kason just looks awesome
This really looks awesome! But I'd prefer a white logo on red strings Well then I will try out the ZM67, thanks for sharing minds, mate But it will be normal white strings on the blue SW37. Maybe this summer I'm going to put red strings on Arcsaber10 - which must look hot too
White string ink is more like paint - really gloopy and sticks the strings together real bad. Not a fan. But yeah, go the full red and put ZM67 red on the Arc10! With red grip.
