I wonder why it takes so long for SDK's injuries to mend.
Has he still got the motivation to carry on now that he is happily married?
Maybe he wants to become a coach under the tutelage of Li Mao!

I wonder how much PBSI pays SDK a month.
SDK's last big win was the 2010 Singapore Open and I think he must have spent quite a lot of it on his wedding.
He needs to compete and win some tournaments for both the prize monies and also to maintain his sponsorship by the big corporations. These sponsors want winners or near-winners to endorse their products.
SDK is also getting on in years and he has just a few more years left to make the big bucks.

I just saw match SS vs uncle Peter Gade on Japan SS, I didn't see SS style as I had seen at before. He didn't have fighting spirit, and He play with no strategy and no attacking as he has shown at time before.
I am so sad to see how SS play badminton recently..
What was happen to him?? where is SS as SS before??
How I miss SS is.. :(

Is it true? Maybe injury has made him lost motivation to play badminton. I liked SS better than any of the other Indonesian MS I have seen so far. Although I am quite elated that Liew Daren defeated him, now I thought twice after I saw your post. He suffered some sort of injury during the WC right?

Is Li Mao still the MS chief coach of Indonesia?
He has always been regarded as the 'miracle' coach.
    What happened?

Yes,he get injury during WC and SS was going downhill after that. But i think his style is not as bad as now. He still could reach good result on Malaysia SS after the injury (until sf stage, if i'm not wrong).
I think SS really doesn't suit with Li Mao coaching style.
SS doesn't have an eager eye as before anymore on the matches which was i seen..

Simon had an excellent start to the year (SF in Malaysia and Korea) But then he was pretty inconsistent after that and now he's losing to lower ranked players... the last time I saw him on TV against Lin Dan I quite liked his style, and even during the WC 3rd round against Peter where he took Peter to 3 games...

Is it Li Mao's problem? I heard that he did get on well with Li Mao during the WC. Is it injury problem?

I don't know the true reason was..but here is a news about simon as written on July 13, 2011.

    http://www.wartakota.co.id/detil/berita/51678/Simon-Santoso-Tidak-Pede-Dengan-Pola-Latihan-Li-Mao

I'll try to translate some points on the news:
SS said that he was not confident with training style that applied by Li Mao,
he said "I am more confident when playing the game using my old pattern. I would rather enjoy a game pattern that I've coached over the years is" then he also said "Everyone has their own pattern of the game, and if it should be changed would require a process. Until now I still do the adaptation with exercise patterns given by the coach but still not getting the best thing,"
Since February he was trying to follow the training pattern given by Li Mao that emphasis on playing technique and play efficiently. But since he follow the pattern , his graphics performance was actually decreased.

Congratulation Simon for winning a big title INA SSP 2012 at home by defeating resilient Du Peng Yu. He shown good mentality now by winning decider and turn the situation to his favor after frustrating 2nd set.
