Dude, RSL is one of the famous badminton equipment brand, especially in making shuttlecocks. (they just celebrated their 82nd anniversary by the way) Check out their website yourself. http://www.rsl-1928.com/ It is kind of an irony, as RSL is originated from England, where your location is, and it is since 1928. It is widely used in Asia.
Did anybody ever tried your plastic shuttles??? We use the Mavis 350 at our club; expensive and not very durable, and not keeping a good speed very long. Would like to know which brand you are talking about, and any feedback???
these shuttles are yonex i have mavis 2000 probably the best nylon shuttles out so far that ive tried they really are like a really feather shuttle
I've tried: RSL Tourney No. 1 (78) Aerosensa 30 (78) Aerosensa 40 (78) Victor Gold Champion (79) I... wasn't too keen on the RSL shuttles. They felt a little slower than the Yonex shuttles. I really enjoyed my Victor shuttles, they're quite durable. I think if I don't get on so well with my tube of 40s I'll go back to ordering Victor.
Another vote for Youhe S100 I'm also pleasantly surprised by the Youhe S100's. Comparable to RSL Classic Tourney or Yonex AS-10 in quality, but can get them for $20 per tube including shipping. Badmintonian.com
Tried RCL Platinum not bad..cost about USD22 /tube Yonex Aerosensa 10 not really good after 1 match. flight became significantly slower even feathers are still intact
The problem with as 10 are that they are cheap goose feather and they tend to widen like flower after few strokes but since they are durable they don't break easily . but speed wise it becomes waste . as 10 should not be steamed and they can remain crisp a bit longer. A prime example of a shuttle which does not improve on steaming . exact opposite of RSLs
if price is not a problem, I guess of all brands I have used (Yonex, LiNing, Victor, etc) Yonex is still the best shuttlecock especially the higher grade ones like New Official or Tournament, the hitting feel is just awesome and crisp even after a few games.
