hahahaha i'm a lurker that's quite a good price i've got mine for RM28, doorstep collection and delivery i'm not sure it's ECP or not his 25lbs is harder than new vision's 26/27 btw, just got a new string job- ZM67@28lbs..very nice sound hahahah
I have strung Zymax 62 on my Woven 7 @ 25x27 pounds. Previously it has had sotx 1040i 67 at the same tension. The zymax 62 has far more power, from clears, backhands, drives & lifts. Sliced shotsare also good. For some reason though the net play was not good, I couldnt easily get them to spin and the bounce was variable, thus making it difficult to control. I have strung three rackets simultaneously with Li Ning accupower 62 & NBG98 at the same tensions (on a Woven16 & Woven10a respectively). I will monitor the respective tension drops, but after using them twice now each for similar (although not exact) periods of time. After the current period of time (1 week) the tension drop appears to be affecting the Li Ning string most, then NBG, then Zymax (and actually I have used the Zymax the most). I am impressed, and hopefully the net shot thing is only me, but Zymax is the winner so far for me, although performance wise the Accupower was impressive, in Control too. Not a scientific experiment I know, but my opinion with a bit of justification...
What color ZM62? ZM62 in white for Panda is one of the best strings with respect to net shots. The feel, touch, everything so crisp and yummy.
Luminous Yellow. Will try get some White next time then. It was strange, low pick ups & blocks had very good control, but the close range net shots suffered from variable bounce and slippage. The best string for these short range shots I have played with is SOTX 1040-65, which despite its slippy feel, its net shots really stuck.
Have you tried the Li Ning strings? I only tried the AP62 so far, but have AC101N & AP85ti to try when next break a string.
It's very weird, the yellow and silver do not play nearly as taut, nor as crisp as the white. Panda does not know why.
36lbs? Who said anything about ZM62 at 36lbs? The string cannot take it. ZM62 can take 28lbs max, which is like BG65 at 31-32lbs.
Strange, I have about 15 racquets strung with ZM62 in ivory (white), platinum, and green and they all play similarly. I have also asked other players to try them out and the results are quite similar, with the only difference between some players who like all colours and some who did not quite like them because they couldn't handle the high tension. But there was no difference between the colours.
Is the price for Zymax coming down recently? Local store carries it for $5, which is cheaper than MicroPower or MicroLegend.
I will be available in KL on May 28. If you are still interested in ZM62 or ZM67, the price will be MYR 13.50/each for 10 packs or MYR 15/each for less than 10 packs. Also, are you interested in some Ashaway ML strings as wellas powergut 66 strings? I can sell them cheap. Pls let me know. Regards. Ee Pak
Zymax 62 Hi all, I strung my AT900P with Zymax 62 at 26x28. First, I agree with the other posters in that the strings felt tighter than what was expected but the overall feel was good. Unfortunately, it lasted only 1 hour on the court but I didn't hit the sweet spot squarely. I'm going to lower the tension to 25x27 and see what happens. <fingers crossed>
Yeah, ZM 62 is an awesome string but durability is not there at all. You were lucky to get an hour out of it. What machine did you use to string up the 900P?
I found you have to play lightly or don't play it at first week. give it time to break in. After that it last much longer.
My aforementioned racket with ZM62 broke at the weekend - Mishit. I have no complaints. If I didn't mishit it, I wouldn't have broke it. May be it will make me a better player (les mishits) The Li NingAccupower survived a competitve two games of singles easily, on top of the 3hrs social I had previously played with it. I think the fact it survived the singles is more pertinent as thecompetitivenature meant there were a lot more off centre hits which it survived.
