agree lol.. it is my to go string other than Zymax 62 (since I can't find it here in China)
the stringers here in China scratching their head when I choose it though.. they said the string is too thin to be durable. I don't care and I took all of my rackets and my friend's racket (total of 7) and strung it with BG66 UM. the stringers can only laugh since I didn't follow their advice

I really didn't want to like a string with a reputation for only lasting 2 weeks but I think this may even beat vs850 on control. I strung it a couple of pound too high by accident but now it feels broken in (2 weeks light use) and power and control are both excellent. I'll see how it lasts for me at 25lbs.

Who turned the volume up to 11? This is easily the loudest string I've tried.

Yep, I think it beats VS850 for control, too. But I've only used VS850 at 24-5lbs and people have proported that it doesn't 'come alive' until 27, but I haven't had time off from my Ultimax addiction to try.My go-to racket is strung with plain BG66 and I don't like it as much as Ultimax. Doesn't seem to have the same repulsion, seems a little less.....'Pro'.FYI Ultimax is now available in two new colours - green and orange!Still no blue for the ZFII Muppets. Aww.[IMG][IMG]

Lime green eh? Do you have a link to all available colours (from everyone's favourite Taiwanese distributor :)?

Ungh, why does this forum not work on the iPad or Firefox properly anymore.Anyway, Stringers World has the green but not the orange. Probably a bit closer to home.

After playing 2 times this week with the BG66UM on my NS8000 @ 24 lbs. My conclusion is it has better moderation in control and power at the same time. I used to use BG80 and I can say the feel on the BG66UM has more finesse to it.

I agree completely. The way it transitions from the power to the touch game is a big reason why I use it.

My stringer mentioned the retention will be rather low. So I am expecting that dull feel will kick after 5 - 7 times of play.

Depends on how hard you go. I usually only play 2x3hr sessions a week, so I usually restring every 6 weeks I'd guess. If you're a pro, I could see the string only lasting one match. I guess your experience will be somewhere inbetween :)

It's the price you pay for perfection ;)

I've been recently doing 6 days week about 2 hrs each day. It's feeling real lacking after 1 month.

Going to try 80P or 66Sharp if i can find it next

I had BG80P before on my NS8000. I can truly say the feel just doesn't compare to BG66UM. But something has to give to have so much fun.

Cheers for your comments, I've only had 66UM so wanted to re-string when they started to feel different, which is now (5-6weeks now)
    I think I'll replace the ZF2 with 80P or 66Max/Sharp @26 and the ARC11 with NBG98 @ 24

BG80P retains tension much better than 66UM. Also quite a diff feel too. 66UM feels quite a bit softer in comparison. However soft <> dull, which is what the NBG95 n 99 feels like.
80P just feels harder as if I am a more angry person when I play, haha.
Either one is my goto string. Leaning towards 80P as the difference in feel new vs old not as dramatic as 66UM.
    Durability wise, both sucks....

Mate had 66UM on 3U ZSP @ 26, broke after 3-4 days, got it restrung at 26 again, snapped after 10 minutes.
Different mate had 80P on ZF2 @ 26, used it for about 3 weeks, broke on a drop supposedly...?!?! yet to be restrung

Ive had 66UM on ZF2 @ 26, probably actually 26 for 1-2 weeks max, since then prolly <24lb tbh, now it feels even looser than my ARC11 @ 22...
