hmm ya i like this glossy look, but i hope its durable. somehow i think its gonna break after while.....
Hi there Ara! When you say "did not bite" you mean it doesn't hurt the side of your feet. I have the 101 Limited and gave up on it because it causes discomfort/pain on the side of my feet when I use it. Would you say that the 102 is much better despite having an additional claw. I planning to get one if it is much better than the 101. Thanks.
bro, do u really sure sc5 give the best cushioning? due to 3 layers of power cuhsion? plz share ur input n detail review...
Yes, that is what I meant. The lateral claws of the 102LTD is not so pronounced for me as in the 101LTD. However, it must be noted that the feel of the shoes and walking it around when trying out in the strore is different during actual game time when you are wearing it for a few hours and moving vigourously around the court. My experience is that you don't the lateral claws so much over time and the shoes 'conformed' to your feet. Best for you to still try out the 102LTD at the stores before you make any purchase and also make sure you try both sides on walk around with them.
Lateral claws mean the 3 little dragon claws fella? If yes, it's a design failure as it's just glue to it n peel off after 1yr.Weak n not robust to support in this area..Another marketing feature for sell...u guys really think it works?
Shb-102 mid jp My 102 MID JP arrived from Japan recently and my first mid-cut badminton shoe. I did a bit of comparing with the 102 LTD Black/Yellow at Sports Life. First look the model looks the same except the colour scheme and 102 MID is a mid-cut shoe. This model is only available in Japan. Straight off the JP 102 MID is more comfortable and the leather is softer and more supple and feels like real leather compared with the SP shoe which felt like PVC leather. I also tried my friend's 101 LTD JP shoe (same shipment as mine from Osaka, Japan but not from Shuttlehouse) and the comfort and softness of the shoe felt the same as the 102 MID which is better than the SP version. You could feel the JP shoes are much more comfortable when you first wear them compared with the stiff feeling of the SP shoes but still acceptably comfortable. They should be considering for high-end shoes even if they are SP. I felt the comfort level and the feel of the 102 MID feels especially more stable above the ankles because of the thick cushion hugging the the mid-cut area. Sole bottom pattern are similar for both JP and SP. Last picture shown are the boxes for the JP and SP product. As in the SP shoes, extra shoe laces in white is provided for the JP shoes but no shoe bag which the SP shoes provide. Definitely no regrets buying them and now waiting to try them out in a game.
the 102 mid looks great, how much did it all cost to get those pair of shoes? when u said only available only in japan does that mean there won't be a SP version either?
Ara, do comment how does the 102MID fair compared to its MX and LTD counterpart after you have tried it on for your games. I am keen to know whether the mid-cut will hinder the movement as the ankle may be constricted.
got mine yesterday but haven't played with it though. gonna train with it later but so far, it feels great walking in it.
Nope..... It is not wide feet because it isn't 4E. It is around the same width as SHB101. If you want to know which Yonex shoes are wide feet, just check Yonex JP website. SC5 and SHB81 are the latest wide feet shoes.
