Chauvinistic Fans http://www.nst.com.my/latest/chong-wei-apologised-over-namewee-s-video-clip-1.123778# Excerpt: "I'm sorry about that video, I know nothing about that song too, I am here to say sorry to every one, hopefully Chinese fans can forgive this," said Lee on his personal Chinese microblogging website on weibo, China's equivalent of Twitter. This why I say sometimes it is fans who inadvertently do damage to their idols instead of bring positive affirmation. This one has certainly gone overboard. Sure rings a bell like something similar to what Manoharan did, to bring benefits to oneself. For the former, Namewee, it was to bring people to popularize his music video. For the later, politics.
The relentless critics of athletes Another one of my favourite articles lately. Sometimes you wonder if the critics themselves ie Manoharan, have the slightest idea on the technical difficulties of playing the game, some have not even watch the game! http://www.nst.com.my/latest/learning-how-to-love-a-guy-who-gave-his-best-1.122077#
Namewee is trying to promote his own movie in which he is also starring called Hantu Gangster. As always, many ppl are using LCW as a stepping stone. But it is LCW who has to apologized to irate China fans.
Actually Lee CW isn't involved, not even indirectly,so there's no need for him to apologise; Namewee is the one who should apologise. Still LCW dd the right thing to disassociate himself from him, I respect him all the more for it. Discerning fans would not hit out indiscriminately but differentiate right from wrong. Yes,LCW has to be careful not to be made use of. Wish him success and happiness in all his endeavours.
lol, i would really love to see this namewee guy challenge LD.. Put aside the muscle vs fats, LD is in the army! I'm sure he knows how to disable an attacking guy. I heard from my friend that this namewee guy posted on his facebook that he got beaten by some random people for dont know what reason.. yea, if any random people can beat him up, LD will be able to finish him off in no time at all.. lol, its funny to imagine it.. no offence!
Ppl like Namewee should 'self sabotage' without dragging along others with them...Luckily he did the right thing by apologising via his FB, but no Im not gonna watch his new movie...never did watch his old ones and never will...ever. As for LCW wish to compete in Rio 2016, Im not so sure. By then, Chen Long most probably the new "Lin Dan", and dont forget CJ, WZM, DP.....the China's sports 'factory' always producing new talents.. Anyways, best wishes for LCW for the next 2 years, hopefully the 'back up' players wont remain 'back up'.

Lee urges Malaysian badminton academy to shape up The Straits Times Published on Aug 24, 2012 KUALA LUMPUR (AFP) - Lee Chong Wei, who narrowly missed an Olympic gold medal in London, has warned that badminton faces a bleak future in Malaysia unless aspiring future champions are given better training. The world number two was quoted by The Star daily on Friday as calling on the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) to up its game. "The BAM have to get some things right. The academy needs to have the best coaches, and (junior shuttlers) need to be taught to focus on the tactical side of the game. From what I have seen, we are lacking in these areas," Lee said. Lee came within two points of securing Malaysia's first ever Olympic gold medal in London, but he lost to long-time nemesis Lin Dan of China in a repeat of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
