Wang Yihan and Wang Xin have their own Olympic programme. What about WSX ??

This is the only interview i managed to get off WSX. For those who are curious of what she is like as a person and her personal interest, this is a good watch. Enjoy and ps i roughly understood what she said...lol...it's all in Mandarin.

The movie is indeed pretty old and thus not representative for today's situation.

I was surprised that she could not handle that guys' smashes. I thought Tina Baun would have more powerful smashes.

Is the speed that made her couldnt recover the dude's shots. I must say the guy is pretty good for college standard. Tine Baun's smash is ferocious but bear in mind she is not a fast attacking player; leaving you to guess which direction she will place the smash.

If she possess 30 percent of lee chong wei speed, nobody can beat Tine Baun.

I heard it was University National Champion.

It was so short. Thought the emcee announced the duration of hug will be based on the spectators applause.

LYB reveals WYH will play the first singles match in every Uber Cup match in Wuhan beginning on the 20th May till 27th. WYH, who hopes to bury the ghost that had haunted her for the last two years, have this one chance to do so on home soil.

She looks very determined to get the Uber Cup back..but she cannot do it alone as she will face strong opposition from Korea and Japan.

Uber Cup final failure two years ago absolutely trigger her slump performance to the bottom line.

Wang Yihan performance thus far in this year is pretty good, never lose to any foreign player, only succumb to her compatriots : Jiang Yanjiao (KOR PSS semifinal) and 'the next big thing' Li Xuerui twice (AE PSS and BAC finals) ;)

Her opponents are likely to be Adriyanti Firdasari, Eriko Hirose and Bae Younjoo; the ones from the teams that could challenge China.

On paper, she should smashed them all easily lol..

In retrospective though, the Uber Cup match should serve as a learning point for WYH and turn some of the negatives into her strength. Of course the win will totally strengthen her self-belief and mental fortitude in future matches however she must not be complacent about her skillset.

She is really poor with her forehand clearance, shot judgement and lastly her accuracy (unlike Wang Xin, she always puts her killer shots wide when under pressure in long rallies)

On the serious note, she must cut all these loose ends before the Olympics. Tang Xianhu's return should also focus on these women's singles technical skills, not just Lin Dan alone as London Olympics is not going to be same as Beijing Olympics..

actually wyh's game play is very straight forward.....base, base smash. base base smash. she rely on her strength but lack deceptive shots. and her return is quite poor where she always hit the return straight to her opponent.

She clearly deceived SJH at the net a couple of times... so badly that SJH was completely wrong footed.
