The NBG98s amazing, without a doubt the best string for a offensive player, ofcourse it's very expensive, but in Japan you can get them for just a little more than the NBG95. I got a 30 or a 60 meter roll of NBG98, I broke the string once in 3 months. The only thing that the NBG is not so good at is the feel. Hitting the bird slowly makes the strings feel dead, hard to get the right amount of power for dropshots.

The string is very repulsive, however it lacks control if you are a touch player. I personally used to use NGB-98 before I swithched to BG-85 and found it much better for power/control.

There is not exactly a minimum you could define to determine what is good on the racket. The question is more like what tension is suitable which the player can handle.

First time I have quoted myself :D.

My question is why is the MP100 rated over the Armrotec 700 on the chart as mroe of a singles players racket?

The only thing Yonex traditionally class as a better singles racket is headheavyness and stiffness.

The Armortec 700 surpasses the MP100 in both of these aspects , so why is the MP100 over it?

    Thankyou

I'm sure the MP-100 is stiffer than the AT700, the AT700 isn't extra stiff at all. Maybe medium-stiff to stiff but not extra stiff.

Anyway, to any badminton player worth their salt, the chart is meaningless anyway. Think about how many world class singles players play with head light rackets.

Yeah - :D the chart is just ennoying me.

I thought the Armortec 700 was extra stiff?

    EDIT:

A more reliable source would be yonex themselves :

Is there a new chart? This is kind of old. And I have still not seen any chart with bg66 although the string has been around for centuries.

Page 3 for the "updated" one with NBG95 [IMG]. There is no BG66 in Japan therefore it's not going to be on the chart, not that there has been any update since that 2007 one. Don't think they do charts like that anymore(?)

Nope (not in that format anyway)

Would it make my flexible racket unbalance if I string it with lets say, BG 80 or BG65 TI. What would be an ideal string for an NS 6000 if I want to improve its smashing power?

Yonex' (Japan's) recommendation for NS6000 (and other flexible racquets) is NBG98 for power. Perhaps give BG66 a try since it's in the same box.

So it does really give it more power huh? Wow, I can't wait for that!:) I'll get used to this racket for its excellent control then change my strings
