will WSX suffer the same fate as that of Zhu Lin?? http://sports.sina.com.cn/o/2012-11-24/08566308821.shtml
Her place was in huge doubt just a few days ago. But Chen XJ was injured a few days ago during a match against Juliane; Chen had to undergo ankle surgery. WYH's knee problem seems to be quite serious. So WSX still has a place in the Chinese team, i guess.
It took Wang Lin one over year to get back to near her previous best, beating Saina in the HK Open. I won't give up on WSX yet, I can see her trying hard transitioning to a different playing style with better attacking shots and smash. Given time, her perseverance will pay off. Meanwhile, she is relegated to CHN National 2nd Team, if I'm not wrong, which means she won't be selected to represent CHN in team events, including multi-sport events like Asian Games.
go shixiiannnn i 'll always support you!! you are the best!! I GUESS shixian still in china national team..
yea. But Asian Games won't be held until two years from now. Uber Cup is a year and an half away. My guess for the next two years is this. WYH will have more and more injury. WX won't come back to top form. WSX won't develop strength. Chen XJ is out. LYB will give LXR an easy time (since he cannot afford the slightest injury with LXR.) Wang Lin, Han Li and Liu Xin are the future??
There is the Sudirman Cup in May next year. LYB giving LXR an easy time? More the reverse as she is expected to deliver results and win crucial matches (I know what you mean but that's not the way to see it). In fact,LYB wants to intensify her physical training after seeing how fit Schenk is. The pressure on her is going to be greater;same for WYH. Meanwhile, hope to see Wang Lin rising again. Han Li and, hopefully, Deng Xuan too doing their part. Sun Yu is another prospect. Still, don't rule out WSX. CXJ should be back after six months;maybe Wang Xin too despite her age, taking Zhang Ning as precedent.
i hope WX will rise again. She is my favourite!!! But I have to admit she is not young anymore. Someone said Zhang Ning is pregnant. Is it true?
Zhang Ning gave birth to a baby girl. Back to Shixian, although my favorite women's single player is Xuerui, I really hope Shixian can bounce back and become stronger.
really? wow, congratulations! probably a future WS star has born. btw, i do forget, did Zhang Ning accompanied her students in LOG or not?
Wang Shixian has replaced Wang Yihan who is injured to play in the Superseries Finals. A good chance for WSX to redeem herself. Really hope she can do well and progress to the final. This might just be the breakthrough for her to rise again. All the best.
with WYH, WX and Chen XJ injured and Zhang Ning still in maternity leave, WSX now has a new lease of life!!! Hope WSX will rise to the occasion.
Just a thought. With the inconsistent performances plaguing WSX and grumblings of her being dropped, is there even a remote possibility that she jumps ship and ends up in another country? Might there be thoughts of clandestine negotiations taking place? The likes of Pi Hongyan, Yao Jie and Xu Huaiwen, who had fallen out of favour with the CBA, spring to mind.
I highly doubt it. Wang Shixian is a high profile player, a former world #1. For such a high profile player to leave the CBA and join another country would really be unprecedented. She would have to leave her home in China, and it would cause a lot of media attention. How does it even happen in the first place? Does an agent from the other nation just approach one of the Chinese players and offer them citizenship?
I tend to agree with you. Wang Shixian is still going through a painful readjustment period. But as long as she perseveres and CBA continues to give her opportunities such as this SSF, a big tournament, she will get all the encouragement and motivation she needs to overcome her problems and rise again. I think leaving CBA for another country should be the last thing in her mind now, the more so if it's true that Chen Long is her boyfriend. But I won't rule out other member associations trying to tempt her for what she can contribute as a player and the training she's undergone in CBA. Emigration is a drastic move, a decision one makes after careful and long deliberation, esp for someone still young and single unless she's been living overseas for several years.
