How on Earth could the photographer take all those shots from such excellent angles?!
    Especially the 5th photo!

    Badminton Expo - Indonesia

At this year's Broadcast & Multimedia Exhibition in Jakarta, Sony's marketing people laid out a badminton court, bathed in television lights. The idea was to show off the quality of Sony's latest studio cameras.

The idea isn't new. At shows in Brazil and Portugal, a mini football setup (with a goal area and a goalkeeper) is common... and, at other shows, a sitcom set (with pretty models) is the norm.

As this show was in Indonesia, Sony's marketing guys rightly chose badminton.

    However, there were two problems.
One - someone forgot to arrange for the studio cameras.
Two - fat men in suits who live on TV ratings don't play any sport, much less badminton.

Finally, Sony hired two guys to play all day, for four days.
Sadly, they seemed to be the worst available... backyard players :(

In any case, neither the court nor the net conforms to regulations.
But, yes, it looked quite attractive (until they started to play).

    ^^You could've..^^

..jumped in there and performed an exhibition....
Btw, yeah, the ceiling does look short; i'd guess it's only about 25-30 feet high (7.5 to 9 meters)??..
And the most crucial of them all, they forgot to ask the real 'Sony' Dwi Kuncoro to come and play there.;)

Of course, I did hit some :p ... but not when any cameras were around!
But it's no fun when the court is too short to accommodate a clear

By the way, the ceiling is well over 30 feet high... it's just that the pictures don't show it to be so.

Oh, this 'court' would embarrass Sony Dwi Kuncoro :(

the ceiling looks barely 20 ft. :D I have played in courts with 25-28 ft ceiling, it is ok for doubles. 20 ft is just too shallow.

    How regulation is this...?

The net is twine, the posts are cross-country ski-poles, and the drift is a killer in this stadium. However the ceiling is plenty high.:)
