Pros of 4 knots: easier to string, takes less time, no transition of tension between mains&crosses, symmetry (the 2-knot-method puts some strain on the part where you go from mains to crosses, which is only 1 side usually, the Victor pattern provided by visor is an exception in that regard)

Pros of 2 knots: takes less string, probably less stress on the frame because of the 2 knots less (not too sure about that - the transition from mains to crosses adds some strain, so maybe theres no difference after all)

The standard Yonex way to string is 4 knots/2piece, bottom-up. I prefer a top-down 2-piece stringjob, although I would do bottom-up for high tensions (28+ on Yonex, 29+ on Victor Braveswords, 30+ on RSL&Victor SuperWaves&YY Voltrics, 32+ on Li Ning N-series). Luckily, no one around here uses those tensions, so I can stick to my usual way of doing it^^

Huhuhu. Thanks bro for the info. What I heard is 4 knots give less tension-loss. Likewise, 2 knots will loss-tension faster. And, racket strung with 4 knots will easily break during a clash. Whereas, 2 knots will have lesser chance to break.

    Is tat true?

    Okay.....decisions, decisions.

While I'm house-bound recovering after surgery, naturally this is the best time to go racket shopping! :D

My current loves are without a doubt, the Kason C7 and ubiquitous Bravesword 11 (Actually 'underrated' is perhaps a better term). Both are mid-flex, slightly head-heavy, and fast.

So big question is, what next to get? :)

Thinking about the MX60, as it seems like a BS11 'replacement' or at least parallel, but I'm afraid like the MX70 it iwll just not be a patch on the MX80.

Very curious about the BSLYD and BS15, but the LYD felt very stiff swinging it around the shop, and seems like the few BS15's around are making it to the classifieds quite quickly (where's the reviews, people?!). I just sold my second BS10 so I'm firmly over rackets in that stiffness league.

So.....can get two new toys in the next 3 weeks. What do I get??:cool:

^^ mx60 seems like the most logical one to try, since you have the mx80 and you've tried the mx70

in your case, make sure you get one in 4u

Yet ironically I prefer the Braveswords in 3U.

because bs series frame is unusually thin in cross section design, as compared to mx and sw series which are sturdier and chunkier in cross section

anyone playing with a 4u bs series is not gonna have much offensive damage

Yeah, generally for rackets that aren't as fast as the Braveswords, I go for a heavy 4U rather than a light 3U because it does help make the racket faster.

SW310 is a classic example where with a BP of 305, the 4U packs a pretty big punch while almost being as fast as my C7 (but still lagging especially in reflexive defence shots).

Whichever way you look at it, the Bravesword is STILL the benchmark for speed as far as I'm concerned.

The best racket I've have tried yet is the BS11 at 95g, strung and gripped.
I was looking forward to trying the BS LYD, but hearing how stiff people say it is and that it's pretty head heavy as well, I think I'll either need to just stack up on the BS11 or find something very similar to the BS11 to fool around with.

Victor Europe will wait and see how the MX70 is received before releasing the MX60. If the MX70 sells well, they'll probably do it, but if it doesn't, they won't release it at all. A friend of mine asked them and got threatened not to buy from Asia as that would theoretically be illegal (as if anyone in the world cares about 2-3 rackets -.-) as one isn't allowed to import their stuff from non-EU countries.

3U is generally more powerful as the higher weight results in a higher impulse which can be transferred to the shuttle (I = M * v) as most players are limited by their swing speed and not the racket's weight on their smashes. Depends on your technique and swing style though, same as the BP will affect your smash power differently depending on those.

thanks for the very good answer :)

that really sucks so bad..as i do not want to wait forever..so i have to buy it illegally :D

can you give me a hint where i can do that?

is there a date when the mx60 will be released in asia?

how can it be illegal? isnt it just about the toll?

Well, what I'm writing down now is not what I know, it's just what I think:
It's NOT illegal in Germany to import rackets from Asia.
BUT probably Victor Europe (Germany?) has the absolute exclusive rights to sell VICTOR equipment. That means: It's forbidden for an asia victor reseller to sell items to an europe customer, because their own direct VICTOR Asia distributor itself does not allow that.

Short verdict: Probably VICTOR Europe and VICTOR Asia do have a contract.
And that also means: Do not care. Just do not spread around where you have your racket from if you made it to get one from Asia. Otherwise we might get less seller who offers rackets to Europe if they are going to be banned or something like that! :-S
