not that many anymore..I know KLRC decided not to sponsor Nicole/Reid this year and may be Russian players too....so far only Zhou Mi, Petya, some Taiwanese players, Ramussesn ( Danish MD)...

but Andrew Kam did not get many supports as he claimed...I believe so far Australia, HKG, Bulgaria will support him...joining " may be" Canada, NZ or Taiwan...

yes..he does but the problem is he is attached with Punch Gunalan...so many scandals will be discussed in coming up on meeting in GZ....like someone using BWF's fund to book hotel rooms during OG Beijing to make money. for example....:(

Punch has too many baggages for Andrew....

Kang is still good but BWF needs to deepen " Marketing dept"..I heard they are hiring someone to make Badminton "COOL"...
BWF did get rid off "some bad apples"....but still many rooms to improve...otherwise IOC can cut off Badminton from 2020..

That's exactly what badminton needs! To make this game COOL...:cool::cool::cool:
Why can't Dr. Kang just get rid of the bad apples right now?

Oh, by the way, I still cannot figure out Datuk Andrew Kam's idea on: how a 'professional badminton club' should design its business model? As far as I can see... KLRC's revenue stream is still relying heavily heavily heavily on Datuk Kam's other businesses (mining or something)... A professional basketball club like the Lakers have clear revenue and profit stream for me... A professional football/soccer club like Manchester United also have a clear business model... But KLRC?!? Not clear.

The big INA badminton clubs I know are set up by different businesses with a clear intention of helping INA badminton only. Nationalism is the driving force. But KLRC... I don't have a clear view here... Just helping badminton in general?!? For whose fame and glory? Datuk Kam's fame and glory?

Dato Andrew Kam as the BWF president? I think he is too ambitious for that. Looking at the pathetic state in KLBA and as the president of KLBA, I don't think he has done anyhing to help the state players and fulfil his responsibility. With a large gold mine backing him up, he got a bright chance to be elected as the president.

    A little OOT...
I once planned to join the race, but unfortunately I have very limited fund.
    And I'm saving it for a... XBOX360.:p
Guess I'll give it a try in 202X.

Anyway, anyone elected will have to popularize badminton more and more and more.
I want to see Mozambique SS, Liechtenstein SS, Nepal SS, or Thomas-Uber final held in Paraguay 10 years from now...

I'm sorry. I know this is a typo but just for fun, would a gestalt of Andrew Kang and Kang Young Joong actually be the best choice? It might involve, at the very least, a pooling of their two fortunes.:D

Darn. Now I've repeated the typo. I meant, of course, of Andrew Kam and Kang Young Joong.

I'm sure Gunalan would love a combination of his and Kang's names.
Imagine a literal exposition of: 'Punch Kang' :D

Personally.. the other candidates are not qualified to head BWF. The only best so far is still Dr Kang. However i do agree change is needed.. and this also involve Dr Kang to step down for others to lead. Its seems BWF is heading no where...
