I have a feeling that Matt will be one of the first to test the Arc8DX as he has the whole Arcsaber range. What is the retail price @ the moment ?
Lol!! Maybe =P As for the Arc Saber 8, don't worry about the picture from Badminton Alley, the head shape looks narrow because of the way it is stringed. The head shape not like Z, follow the rest of the Arc Sabers.
That's why he said "the rest of the arcsaber" which implies all others except for the one stated--in this case, all others but the ArcZS
Yes I am. Because someone challenged me when I said that I find the arc10 to be a little head-heavy and said that compared to Armortecs, the Arc10 isn't really. I *know* that Armortecs are head heavier than the arc10. But they're supposed to be because they have "head-heavy" written right on the racquet. I think that for a racquet that has "even-balance" as one of its specs, the arc 10 is on the head-heavy end. All I said was that I hope the Arc 8 is on the head-lighter end of "even-balance". It's not really semantics more as understanding the terminology we use when evaluating whether or not a racquet is the right fit.
I really like the balance and stiffness of the Arc Z. For me it is a very powerfull but less forgiving racquet. Perhabs because of the semi isometric head shape I don't know yet. In this case it would be interesting to see if the Arc 8 DX is less demanding but equally powerfull to the Arc Z @Easy Tiger I have overlayed the Arc 7, 8 and Z with the same images you used and the Arc 8's head shape is identical to the Arc 7. Maybe you shrinked the Arc 8 too much. The grommets on the bottom of the head[1] seem to be too much apart. [1]
From shuttle house. Slightly off topic, but does anyone knows where the pdf version of the Yonex Badminton 2010 catalog can be downloaded from?
@teka85 - I just lined up the top and the bottom of the rackets. I think there is a bit of distortion in the photos so I guess only time will tell. It's crazy that the ArcZS has the same head shape description as the other Arc rackets. @gamer - price is on the previous page, available in a months' time or thereabouts.
yeah im sure they exist already, but idk which ones from yonex... lightest rackets ive seen are BK superlites.. http://www.blackknight.ca/products.php?id=220
