Don't tell me that George manages to have a chit chat with Anastasia Russkikh as well... I should stick around you during SS matches then...
yes "chit-chat" with the worst english speaker on the whole team what he really means is XD partner Vitaly Durkin and Vislova happened to be around at the time . So KMJ on schedule for the Olympics as likely the sole KOR representation in WD. That has got to be a first?
Yes, possibly, but only because the BWF rules have become more stringent. The last time around, Kim and Ha were very lucky to grab the last spot and they only had to be ranked 15th in the world to do it. They had two European pairs less than 700 points behind them. The other 3 pairs were all continental leaders. This year, Jung/Kim are struggling to make the top 8 to accomplish much the same thing but they'd have been shoe-ins in 2008.
Russian Girl Players are absolutely stunning.. I guess i need to dig up more info about them... Nice info, demolidor..
Good looking player, no doubt about it. Infact, a lot of the Korean ladies bring a bit of glamour to the sport imo. But my question is: what happened to her and her partner Ha Jung Eun?! We all know about the Olympic debacle and that they were banned for 6 months, but Kim Ha Na & Jung Kyung Eun are already competing in the Korean Open.
To my knowledge they are banned since the Olympic Games... They will be 2 more months I guess. Kim Min Jung still plays nationally
They entered the Korea Open as independent players; their ban was only from the national institution, which they can be expected to re-join when their ban ends.
Did she and Ha Jung Eun entered the Korea Open? I couldn't find their names in the tournament software. While watching yesterdays semifinal with Kim Ha Na & Jung Kyung Eun, Gill Clark told about them having entered as independent players. They also had different coaches. In their quarterfinal match they had Gil Young Ah and in their semifinal match against WXL & YY it was a male coach. It was good to see Kim Ha Na & Jung Kyung Eun back on court, so I immediately was wondering if Kim Min Jung did the same thing
No. Ha Jung Eun has not competed, even domestically, since the Olympics and no longer shows up on the list for the Daekyo team. Kim Min Jung has competed for the Jeonbuk Bank team. The ban from the national team is for one year, but the BKA has asked the KOC to commute the sentence and let them back now. Most of that is explained here.
It was reported that Ha Hung Eun and Kim Min Jung's suspensions have now expired, but they have decided not to join any international tournaments anymore. this will be a blow to the Korean Team, esp during important matches like Sudirman / Uber Cup where the girls have occasionally sprung a surprise or two.
