    They're a perfect match though

Weirdly, I got the shoes first and then realized that the TK9000 would match them.

    Dropped on there, I think;).

I've not mentioned them to my wife, probably won't either.

Got my SH-LYD-Q's in today from MBS. Bought the 27.5cm/US9.5 Mens ones.
They fit well, width is good, length give my feet enough room to move without being restricting (about an index finger's worth of space to move) and they look great. Pity I have no pink gear other than these for now.

As for Yonex sizing, for reference I tried my mates US9.5 yonex's and they fit similarly to these Victors.
I wear US10 Nike lunarglides/eclipses if you have any running shoes to compare with.

But if you go with the 9.5's, I think this will give you the best fit.
The 9's will be a bit tight and 10's will be too big.

    hope it helps.

I love those blue and green Victor shoes. I am enjoying the yellow and black but will move for the 9200's or green LYD.

Victor Europe have stocks of all three shoes but you cannot buy one as a retailer. Direct Sports are selling the yellow and black shoes and not the red.

LYD are still due August and I am aware both colours will be arriving. I have no idea whether they are already sold out but will check.

Winston has told me he has got the green LYD, but they aren't on his site. Special order only, it would seem - Asia might not be as taken with the green as we are (if you remember, Vicky told us that "green" sounds similar to "lose" in Chinese:D).

Thanks for coming back and posting your feedback! That's really helpful. :)

The trouble is, I have only used Yonex shoes for badminton and they are all 27.5cm Japan size. The only other popular shoe that I can compare (not for badminton) is my converse jack purcells that are UK size 8.5.

Have you used Yonex shoes in 27.5cm before? If so, how do they compare with your LYD-Q? Many thanks

I don't know if this helps, but my street shoes are UK9 and my Victor shoes are also UK9. But then I do like my badminton shoes tight.

I'd just go with the UK9:).

Cheers Mark, I think because different manufacturers have slightly different sizings, it's always a bit of a risk unless you try them. Depending on the manufacturer and model of shoe, I can be anything from a UK size 8.5 to UK size 10. But as I'm ordering them from asia, they tend to go by the japan sizes (centimetre) - which is generally more accurate.

Like you, I also like fairly snug fitting badminton shoes, but must be wide enough for my broad feet - otherwise I tend to twist my ankle.

I'm just wondering if the Yonex and Victor sizings are about the same. If so then I have nothing to worry about! :)

My SH910's are the same size as my Nike's.

If anything, I think the Victor sizes are slightly larger than Yonex, because I always had UK9.5-10 Yonex:).

For me the sizing has been exactly the same as Yonex i.e. 26.5cm No matter where I get shoes from this is the most important criteria and I don't look for other numbers. Japan Yonex sizes were exactly the same as UK. Victor have been the same. I've had two pairs of Victor shoes both 265mm and they fit perfectly.

In my experience with these two brands for shoes, I have to agree with Paul.
I tried (for size only) my friends Yonex SHB-74 EX US9.5/27.5cm and it fit well both length and width (which I was surprised considering my go-to US10 Nike running shoes thinking the 9.5's would be small but it was just right)
Fast forward to last night, tried on the SH-LYD-Q's in US9.5/27.5cm, the wave-y inner sole was different, I thought they were light, gave decent support (as I had used my running shoes to play while waiting for these to come in the mail)

Safe bet to go 27.5cm if you are that in the Yonex <=> Victor.

It's very tempting to contact Victor and order a pair but I'm waiting. As the shoes will not arrive for several weeks there's no rush. Also, I have to consider whether a new pair of shoes is necessary as I don't wear them out.

It's taken me years to feel comfortable wearing coloured shoes. I now love my yellow 9100's but can I really go green or even pink? I feel a headache coming on as I deliberate for the 1000th time.

As a relatively younger (20's) player and playing rather socially, it adds to the enjoyment of my game which includes some various jersey's/team outfits that I've been able to get my hands on as well as racquets and stupidly bright colored shoes such as these.

Hmm MBS dont have the Lime greens - if they did, I'd do another 2 pairs...
