The old Ti-10 is a powerful beast for smashing (especially for the 2U version) but demanding, new ti-10s (yellow and purple) are more all rounded and easy to use. just found an old Ti-10 JP popped up in feabay, any one interested may want to check it out.
I meant ebay. FYI: http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-vintage-YO...yZ106460QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
WOW, check MBS. Purple JP Ti-10 up for sale, only 2 pieces (1 sold already). $438 US http://www.mybadmintonstore.com/shop/index.php?cPath=25_26_70
For the first time, I was able to use a Ti-10 yesterday. My first impression was that it was very forgiving, smashes were very solid, easy to maneuver and control. It came into mind that the racket was an all-rounder. Later realized that I was falling in luv with it. Maybe I'd switch from an AT900T to a Ti-10.
@nipoy How was the smashing and defensive ability of TI.10 compare to AT900T? From the scale of 1-10, what are the scores for both rackets in regards of power and defense? Was your TI.10 and AT900T both in 3U? What string and tension did you use? What generation did your TI.10 belong to? is it 2008 edition (dark purple in color)? Thanks for your info
@IronHide I remember you , you were the one who kept on suggesting that I choose the AT900T against all the other rackets. OK, Both rackets are 3U, Ti-10 ( purple ) is in G4 with BG85 @ 28 lbs. My AT900T in G5 was coincidencely with BG85 @ 28 lbs (as to BG80 & BG66 strings were out of stock ). Ti-10 has a longer shaft compared to AT900T, I think that makes AT900T stiffer than Ti-10. In terms of POWER, I'd give Ti-10 a 9. For AT900T a 9.5. But I think Ti-10 is more consistent with power compared to AT900T. For DEFENCE, both rackets are fast, but Ti-10 felt lighter so I'd scale Ti-10 0.5 more defensive than AT900T. Overall rating, I'd say both rackets are on PAR in terms of their performance.
If Ti.10 is the same or slightly better than AT900T, given the significant price differences, it might be more valuable for us to buy Ti.10 instead of AT900T. Do you guys agree with me? Ti.10 yellow /silver or 2008 dark purple Ti.10 will be the way to go. heheeheh.
Pls... be reminded that these are only my findings. My review is only with regards to my personal experience to both rackets. Others may find my review very contradicting. There are no technical proofs, no research nor survey was conducted with credible personnels. I just happen to like Ti-10 at first hand. But I'm with AT900T all the way!
First time Ti10 user Wow did u guys notice this thread was start since 2005 And people are still giving awesome feedback about the Ti10. Well I just got mine from racquet world in pertama today, the purple coloured one. Didn't read any reviews. Just went in and tested out different racquets. Love at first swing (and not too expensive too). Love the way it cuts through the air Can't wait to see this baby in action. Damn i wish wednesday would come faster.
These review have encompassed all 3 generations of Ti-10; the old one, the yellow one, and now the purple one, and they are all amazing racquets.
Just wondering why only BCL uses the Ti-10 in men's singles, i mean its all-rounder racket. It should be very good playing with it in singles.
Conspiracy theory...if the new players keep using old racquets like T10, the fans are also not going to upgrade right? On the other hand if everyone upgrades at once, it looks a bit fishy...
i oso bought one from PC two weeks ago... at such a reasonable price...this baby is worth your money... my smash improve a lot since i used this racquet... happy...banging my opponents....
is this ti-10 good for both smashing and defence? How much did you buy the racquet from pertama complex?Which shop did you get it from?
Bought mine for RM400 with strings (bg66) + grip + bag. I didn't really spent too much time bargaining so u probably can get a much better price.
Ti-10 is great for smashing and good for defense All my TI-10 (1,2,3 gen) feel almost the same, only 1st gen slighty better in smash power and defense too Little bit confusing me since all people said the 1st gen is hammer and more head heavy. All gen came with same BP and same weight....difference only feel on stiffness, 1st gen the most stiff, 3rd the second and 2nd the last respectively Comparing Ti-10 and at900T (this still my favorite and main racket) or saber 10 is unfair since each type have own characteristic. But for price/performance ratio surely Ti-10 is recommended, nice racket from YY no matter what gen you have weakness only in painting job, too easy to chip
