The racket should match the player and his style, so here's my recommendation: Flex: Flex to Medium Balance: Even-Balanced Weight: 85g String: BG66 String tension: 24lbs If you can get your hands on a Carlton Air Rage Tour or a Vapour Trail Tour, that'll be nice to stick with. Otherwise the mid-range APACS are good too.
Of the rackets I've tried and/or owned, my votes would be to at least also try out - Victor bravesword 9/11/12 - Yonex NS7700/Arc7 - LiNing TP100C. All these rackets are well worth trying out and represent what I think are really decent middle all-rounders.I wouldn't recommend the Carlton Vapour Trail Tour because it's stiffer than it looks and also has a smaller sweetspot thanks to the 'optimetric' head.
