Is normal to play "out of ordinary" against player better than you, I am not talking about skill rather speed and endurance. If Peter play his normal game then the chance he beat Chong Wei is not high so he has to make every shot tighter hence higher errors(similar to Chong Wei against Lin Dan) ... Peter had to take this risk and almost work.
Biased??.. ..in which match?? LCW vs. Gade??....Of course lah, just look at whose backyard they're playing in?...
Shendy should move a bit more on court to hunt the shuttle. CHN girls have problems measuring the drift.
Yeah of course ! I just mean at points they didn't even give PG a polite clap. Dead silence :S, seemed a bit rude. Maybe I've been watching too much of the local tennis (where there is only one NZ player who is already out hehe).
Hmm.. ..are you asking Shendy to move around the court??..I think she's asking Meiliana to cover for her....
Yeah that's right. It's interesting to see how even the very top players really struggle against certain people. The way Lee Chong Wei plays is really effective against PG. It must take a lot of courage to play against someone who just keeps getting the shuttle back no matter what you throw at them.
If I recall correctly, that also happens when it's Denmark players vs non Denmark players in Denmark , or rather vs home players in most countries. Not a surprise. At least the audience didnt shout rude stuff to the opponent player (I hope in MO they didnt), like what happened in certain tournaments
Well, she has that huge cannon of a smash, but Shendy still needs to bring it to target, doesn't she? And her backcourt coverage is lacking.
You're not the only one.. ..as i noticed some of the spectators are getting sleepy and bored, as well... Who has the huge cannon of a smash? Meiliana or Shendy??.. Whose backcourt coverage is lacking? If Shendy, that's exactly why Meiliana is covering for her...
Of course I'm not necessarily trying to get at any one country in particular. Yes I have seen it happen in other countries too (and Malaysia usually isn't so bad, it's just something I noticed in both this match and the Super Series Finals). I think it's all well and good to be one sided if it's your local player on court, but it's nice to give a polite clap to the other player when they make a good shot! Rather than deathly silence. I know they're all just excited to see their own player win, but the crowd should be good sports too .
Yup, INA still has (potential) younger player/new pair as back up, no matter they lose. At least not only depends on just a player.
Hmm.. ..i think phaarix expected something similar to an AE's or Japan Open's atmosphere; so quiet that you can hear a pin drops during rallies and a quick, synchronized applause in between plays...
