oh,she is in world junior championship semi final now? i must be following the wrong result, hehe:crying: okok, she must be a great talent
Oh yeah, sorry about that! But yeah, I noticed she played 4 separate matches on the 7th, and 10 games in all! Hope she has something left for the WS semis tomorrow...
she had done her best to reach semi final in this ajc but ratchanok, world number 14 + tai tzu ying, world number 24 isn't here i will be convince if she reach semi in wjc on tai backyard(taiwan),hehe
And Sindhu is currently ranked 148! She is getting some good exposure to international players now. This will help her. I don't think anyone expects her to start beating the top 20 or 30 players regularly yet. But I think she has the talent and potential to get there. What do you think of her mental discipline?
cant comment much as the last time i saw her(15) was ajc 2010 so she might have improved or changed but for sure, she didnt impress me like what ratchanok(14) and tai(15) did in ajc 2009 (where both of them lost before semi and chen xiao jia won the title) i really hope she can ko 2 china ws in a row to win the title,so do the ina wd,hehe
Sindhu lost in 3 games to the Chinese girl Sun Yu in the semis. Not too surprised; she had played 10 long games the day before. Hopefully BAI will learn to allow her to improve her game in one discipline.
Sindhu has made it to the semis at the Victor Indonesia International Challenge 2011; she will play 12th-seeded Tee Jing Yi of Malaysia tomorrow.
Sindhu is now through to the finals at the Victor Indonesia International Challenge 2011. She took out Tee Jing Yee in straight games, 21-8, 21-12. She will play against the #1 seed Fransiska Ratnasari for the title on Sunday.
I must have missed her previously. She must be promising to be able to enter the finals. I note that she even beat our ZBW in 3 games in the quarters. It's good to shake ZBW from her slumber! Wow, if she could beat Fransiska tomorrow she deserves to be celebrated!
Surprise, surprise! Our young Indian rising star has beaten Nana in straights games to be crowned WS champion at the just concluded Indonesian International Challenge. So Sindhu is the second Indian lady besides Saina Nehwal to challenge China. This is good news to badminton fans in general.

Full story: http://www.sportskeeda.com/2011/07/24/p-v-sindhu-wins-indonesian-international-challenge/ Excerpt: The year 2011 is turning out to be a great year for teenage badminton sensation P.V. Sindhu. The 16 year old Sindhu, supported by Olympic Gold Quest, won the Indonesia International Badminton Challenge earlier today at Surabaya. What made this victory even more special was the fact that Sindhu thrashed the tournament top seed and World No. 35 Fransiska Ratanasari of Indonesia in front of her home crowd in straight sets 21-16 21-11 in the finals. The victory was sweet revenge for Sindhu as she had lost to Fransiska in the Indian Open last year in a thrilling 3 setter. Olympic Gold Quest sponsored the entire trip of Sindhu and her personal coach for the Indonesia International Challenge.
well done, a new rising star in ws, so that so called expert "non impress guy" can shut his mouth up, stop talking nonsense, dont make himself look like a fool
1st,i am not expert, 2nd,at this age,tai had reach super series final and ratchanok had won grand prix gold(which i impress with) 3rd,u must be have noted down on ur sticky note in laptop to remember u about this matter 4th,look like a fool doesnt matter,if didnt notice self is a fool then is big problem 5th,remember to come back and attack me if she reach semi final of wjc ya,note that down, october
I am impressed with her for winning it. Hopefully she can carry on to improve further. The height is certainly an advantage. Keep the hunger going. She should at least have the confidence by know knowing that she can also beat anyone since some of the higher ranked players were eliminated.
Here is what our BCer Krisna from Indonesia had to say about Sindhu's final match against "Nana" http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...allenge-2011?p=1724046&viewfull=1#post1724046
"After first big title, Sindhu ready for Singapore test" Kabir Mandrekar Posted: Tue Jul 26 2011, 03:40 hrs Mumbai Full report: http://www.indianexpress.com/news/After-first-big-title--Sindhu-ready-for-Singapore-test/822403/ Excerpts: ...PV Sindhu, hailed as India’s next big thing in women’s badminton, looks set to narrow the gap between Saina Nehwal and the rest, taking her first steps with her first major international title this Sunday. ...She had no time or inclination to celebrate her victory, having already shifted her focus to the Singapore International Challenge which begins on Thursday. ...“I will be facing the same Singaporean player, Zhang Beiwen, whom I beat in the quarters. But this will be a different stage, as she will have home advantage. I am focusing on winning that game and then I will take it from there,” she says. x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x=x= One thing is for sure: Sindhu has more contact with reality than the reporter, who classified her win as a "major international title." This is not to take away from her achievements or the importance of the Indonesia International Challenge, but to just provide some perspective...
why keep talking about tai and ratchanok, what i want to prove is sindhu is a potential ws player, from her result, she is not "non impress" player as u said, that is enought, dontt keep talk how good tai and ratchanok is, that is nothing to do with sindhu. yup u are right, i think u are the 1 who are the fool but didnt notice self is a fool . finally you realized it. I did no attack u at all, i just speaked the truth, hopefully u can chance yourself, dont act like a idiot again and again
i use the same standard to judge impressive or not maybe u dont know what is the mean of agree to disagree i have my freedom to voice my opinion to me,impress is not directly equal to result and result is not directly equal to potential(to u,maybe yes) i was there to witness their progress, many judge them by their result many people too disagree with my opinion(like u,but didnt act like u) 1st example i had mentioned that i impress with ratchanok(15 years old) in ajc 2010,she didnt reach semi final in this tournament. but she had won 2 consecutive wjc ws title 2nd example same case goes to tai tzu ying(15 years old),she lost in ajc ws final 2009,but she reach final of singapore ss(2010) 3rd example same case on ow yao han(i meantioned in ajc 2009) and partner, didnt win in ajc 2009 but 2 consecutive wjc md title already (too many back then,nelson/teo,tian hou wei and more now i try to say about my not impressive example) 1st example, chen xiao jia, winner of ajc ws 2009,i said she was not a good player and only depend on opponent mistake she then lost in semi final of wjc 2009 2nd example, huang yu xiang, winner of ajc ms 2010,doesnt impress as well he then lost to eventual winner in wjc 2010(quater final) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- of course there is more example, but these is enough to prove who is fool or even idiot now sindhu is doing well until now,let see how she fare in wjc 2011 come back then, october, october, not now not everyone need to follow ur guideline not even lin dan can made everyone have a same perception on him,can u?
