AP's smashing is pinpoint perfect, even a guy like Sony has trouble retrieving them. The question is, how long can AP keep up at the pace he's playing (and forcong SDK to play)? Sony closes in now, 12-13
This has been a rivetting fame so far!! AP is giving Sony the fight of his life, and they're on even terms at 16-all. Who will blink first?
I'm sure others are here as well, most of them watching just like us, too absorbed to post! AP steals game 1, 23-21; what a cracker! Hope SDK has warmed up enough now, he will need to keep AP moving...
I'm no clothing guru, but it looks like Sony is wearing an older 2008 vintage Yonex Team Indonesia shirt. Let's see if he can play as well as he did in 2008. Go Sony!
Pawar seems to be content to let the match go to the decider? He's let Sony go into a 6-1 lead within minutes!
His wife wasn't expecting him to bring all his clothes back soiled from the Thai Open! Had to dig into the emergency lot from the attic....
11-3 at the interval for Sony. Seems he has game 2 in hand.... but never underestimate Sony's ability to "blow a tire" and let an opponent creep back. I suspect he enjoys giving his fans heart-attacks.
Pawar playing some totally weird shots from the near side... Sony twisting the blade in at 17-5 now...
Pawar's footwork and shape has been exceptional through most of this match. Quite a revelation. And he's been very quick in his split-step reactions. But I suspect he's running out of gas now...
