LCW beat Wacha in 3 sets in the 2nd round of Malaysia Open 2008 in 42".

I believe that Wacha can still steal a set from LCW just as Dicky did.

and if LCW proceeds, he will either face LD or BCL. and if LD and BCL are giving it their all, LD will most probably go through. but if LYB have another idea, BCL might make it through.

The big director LYB will gives BCL performs a hero role:D

Since when Watcha become a threat to top players? Barrings any off day from LCW, I dont see how Watcha could beat LCW, mostly likely drag into rubber. Watcha was lucky to beat the unfit Susilo

I'll take LCW vs BCL in final :D

LCW to beat WACHA in two sets. It maybe a warm-up game for LCW.

i dont know, LD hasn't won any title yet this year. it might be time for him to be given support by his teammates. he is a champion and thus he must feel the need to win soon.

Normally,...when LD face any players beside chn player in the final...he wouldnt have injury......he will play all out to win....

But,.....thats still depend on how...LYB decides....who to play in the Final....:D:D

They may not even have to play in today's SF....just w/o...will do...;)

    What if...

I just checked the world ranking as at 13 March 2008 for the MS:

    #1 LIN Dan 82595
    #2 LEE Chong Wei 80454
    #3 BAO Chunlai 66390

I am just wondering how the ranking is like in the following scenario:

    1) LD beating LCW in the final
    2) BCL beating LCW in the final
    3) LCW beating LD in the final
    3) LCW beating BCL in the final

May be our ranking expert badMania or ye333 can advise on this, thanks!

    Since it's a Saturday afternoon, I will entertain u :D

Basically, Bao has a slim chance no chance of getting the no 2 seeding at the Olympics, unless he wins the subsequent India Open, Badminton Asia Championships and the subsequent tourneys post the Olympics qualification period.

Points for each individual player in the situations mentioned above, assuming LCW beats Wacha today:
    1) LD: 85375; LCW: 81834; BCL: 68960
    2) LD: 82595; LCW: 81834; BCL: 71740
    3) LD: 83975; LCW: 83234; BCL: 68960
    3) LD: 82595; LCW: 83234; BCL: 70340

    Then...

In conclusion, BCL will remain as 3rd spot regardless of what happens today.

Then, wouldn't it be better to "let" BCL into the final to strengthen his 3rd spot?

    What a change...

In the world ranking as at 13th March 2008, Du Jing/Yu Yang moved to the top spot but Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen dropped to 4th spot. So, expecting YW/ZJW to "win" over DJ/YY in today's SF.

Markis/Hendra and Nova/Liliyana also replaced the Chinese pairs as world number ones. I guess they will further strengthen their positions after Swiss Open.
