I think GZC retired in 2000 or 2001? Isn't that's way too early for JYJ to even competite with, considering her age. Even if JYJ beats GZC in early 2000s, GZC was way out of her peak anyway.

LB, They met before! Jiang Yanjiao beat both Gong Ruina and Gong Zicao during the 10th Chinese National Championship.

Is that 2003 or 2004 time frame? Is that the year GZC came out of her retirement, took training for several months then play? Well, it's way out of her peak time as late 90's. ;)

Through the internet of course. Not sure if it was in the quarter final match. But definately beat both Gong and took the title eventually.

It was a very tough road to the final for Jiang Yanjiao in The 10th National game. Gong Zhichao defeated Lu Lan and Zhou Mi by quite a big margin in that tournament. She can still play well.

GZC defeated Lu Lan and Zhou Mi, mainly because Lu Lan is still lacking of experience, and Zhou Mi was not at her peak, either. Of course, GZC still can play at a decent level (as she retired when she's fairly young), but surely nowhere near her own peak. ;)

I asked her for autograph during the 2004 WJC, she looked a little bit surprised like didn't expect people would ask her for that. I kinda joked to her - 'You'll get used to it.'

She's really cute, too bad I didn't have a camera with me.
